Beautiful property perfect for large groups!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of approximately twenty people who stayed at Kodiak Falls Lodge to celebrate our mom’s 80th birthday. There was more than enough room for everyone! The kids enjoyed fishing and the weather even cooperated enough for a quick swim. The beach at the pond was clean and fun to play in while the older teens enjoyed jumping off the high dock. We all enjoyed an evening under the stars around the fire pit. Overall, I would highly recommend Kodiak Falls Lodge. The owner was wonderful to work with through the whole process as well!

Perfect Place to Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

First, this property is MASSIVE: The house itself had more than enough space to accommodate all fifteen of us extremely comfortably. There is so much open field on this property, which was perfect for us to organize a flag football game one day and also a game of wiffle ball the next day. Furthermore, the property boasts a "pool house" which was the ultimate place for all of us to hang out at in the evening. Additionally, there is a fishing pond, swimming pond, and a swimming pool on this property. Throughout our stay, my buddies were thanking me for finding such a wonderful place to stay!

Next, I want to talk about the "pool house" in more detail. Hands down, this was my favorite part of the property. This was a large indoor structure, complete with a bar, large refrigerator, shuffleboard, ping pong table, jukebox, and speaker system. Additionally, there was an outdoor (covered) pavilion attached to the pool house with a grill, picnic table, and outdoor speaker system. The pool house had such a great impact on our stay especially because we had experienced rain our final day there, however the fact that we were able to hang out in the pool house / under the pavilion allowed us to have an AMAZING day anyway!

In addition to the many accommodations the lodge itself has, it's location was perfect for us to take a trip into the city of Cleveland (only about 45 minutes away) on one of the days there. We were able to plan a full day with the attractions in the city: we spent a few hours at JACK casino, and then enjoyed a brewery tour at Great Lakes Brewery (for reference, we saw that there were several breweries in the area). We then went to the Cleveland Indian's baseball game. Lastly, we ended our night at Flannery's Irish Pub which was only a short walk from the baseball stadium.

Lastly, I wanted to commend the property owners/managers: Personally, I was in contact with both Jesse and Julie, and they were both very professional and easy to work with. A week before our visit date, I received an email from them which preemptively answered every question I could've thought of asking, and furthermore Julie called me a few days after sending the email to make sure I didn't have any un-answered questions! The amount of care they put in ensuring our trip would be an enjoyable one certainly did not go unnoticed!

If the occasion arises that I'll need to visit the area again with a large group of people, then I'll certainly be trying to reserve this property again!

Best 70th Birthday

  • 5 of 5

We rented the lodge for my mother n laws 70th birthday. We invited just our close family, so there were 19 of us. We had the most amazing time. We brought lobster and shrimp and did a seafood bake outside, under the covered pavilion. It was an absolutely perfect spot. We had access to water, refrigerator, bathrooms, outlets and full kitchen (near pavilion). We didn’t want to be stuck in the house since we had such beautiful weather- but it was nice having pavilion to keep everyone out of the sun!

The kids were in the pool, pond, playing frisbee and corn hole most of the time. There is so much land; which was great! Room for everyone to do their own thing -but yet all still be together.

It was nice having a big enough property to accommodate everyone, especially when we ate breakfast inside, we were all able to eat together. Also, some of our family is a little older, and the layout was perfect for them to get around. There was even a wheelchair ramp that goes to the master bedroom!

We absolutely loved the lodge and highly recommmnd.

Great place to relax

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Kodiak for a few days back in July. The property is absolutely amazing! It’s 30 something acres -with so much to do. My group mostly enjoyed fishing in the ponds, so we spent most of our time doing that. The fish were biting, so that was even better. We also took the paddle boat out often as well.

We utilized the grill; which is by the pool a lot too. It was very convenient having a grill right near the pool with a nearby refrigerator as well.. and an additional full kitchen!!

During mornings, we sat on the deck, drinking coffee and watching the huge outdoor waterfall..

We had a great time and hope to go back again soon.

Lastly, the owners were very easy to communicate with. Not often do you receive a call after your stay to see how your vacation was! That’s why I’m writing this review!!

Loved the lodge

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lodge with family and celebrated my son’s birthday. We wanted to take a mini vacation but not be split up in hotel rooms, since there were 17 of us. The lodge was the perfect choice. My kids, loved the bedroom that had the built in bunk beds! Our entire family slept in there (family of 5).. you can tell all of the furniture is custom made-it’s beautiful. It reminds me of what you would find in Amish country.

The boys spent most of their time in game room/basement playing games.

The adults spent a lot of time in the pool house playing the awesome shuffleboard, once we put the kids to bed! And mixing up drinks at the bar. We were thankful there was a refrigerator out there. Also, the house was still very close to the pool house- which made it very convenient.. especially for our parents, who don’t like to walk far. And there were bathrooms in pool house/game room too!

We hope to come back again in the summer with friends and their children. Wish we could have experienced the swimming pool. Hopfully next time.

Very impressed with the accommodations

  • 5 of 5

My sisters, nieces and I have been taking a trip for years. We found Kodiak online and thought it would be a great place since only an hour from cleveland and near all the wineries! Boy were we right! We had a fabulous time and had many laughs. We used the pool and pool house a lot, even swam in the pond and I normally am afraid to swim in ponds. The pond was very clean and even had a sandy beach too. At night, we made fires at the fire pit and had a great time. We went to the wineries a couple times as well! They were only about 20 minutes away! We plan to go back every year! The owners were great and even followed up after our stay to get feedback! That’s why I’m writing this! They run a great lodge and I highly recommend if you re looking for a beautiful property that is kept very clean!
