Loved family home located in the heart of the Southern Vermont ski area. This two floor chalet features a wrap around deck on the second floor that enters into a large open design space with cathedral ceilings. The whole family and more can share this large living area, with fireplace and television, while eating together on the large wood dining table. The upstairs also holds a master bedroom, kitchen, and one of the houses 2 bathrooms. Downstairs, which is also accessible from outside through a mud room, has another living area with a fireplace and television. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs along with laundry facilities. One bedroom has 4 bunk beds, another 2, and 1 room has 2 separate beds. Great for an extended family, 2 families sharing a vacation, or a large group of friends - the house can sleep 10. The house sits on a wonderful, quiet, 3+ acre lot with an outdoor patio, garden beds, and walking greens with a fire pit area.
This house was just right for a five-day holiday-week stay with our extended group of young-adult children. We had plenty of space to gather around the fire and share meals at the table. The location was great for hiking and snowshoeing, too. Sean is a helpful, responsive host. The house was in great shape when we arrived and Sean was quick to answer the few questions I had. I highly recommend this location for a great get-away.
The house was big with plenty of room for us to spread out and lots of land for the kids to run around. It was also close to everything we wanted to see. Thanks for being a thoughtful host Sean!
The house was big and nice. The only complaint is that the kitchen was small and outdated.
Our combined families of children & adults had the good fortune of randomly choosing this homey and spacious chalet. The picturesqe views, the vast property for our volley ball and baseball games, the relaxed comforts of a myriad of bunking choices, the fireside smoores and all the cooking necessessities to prompt Lillian to prepare her amazing Italian dishes for us all added to the excitement and comforts of our summer vacation. I even found a great book to read in the library area and the kids, of course, found the games. Perfect and homey accomodations. We will be back!

After having several family reunions at campgrounds we were looking for something more comfortable. This was absolutely perfect! Large and spacious for the entire family to spread out. You could feel the history of family and love in the house. It didn't feel like a vacation home, but OUR home for the weekend! Views of both Bromley and Magic Mountains from the 2nd floor deck. Beautiful outdoor patio and fire pit. Nearby to Stratton Mountain. Huge yard and tons of outdoor adventures for a summer visit or a large ski/mud room and large house for those winter ski getaways. The home has everything you need. It was clean and beautifully kept. Booking, arriving, utilizing and departing were a cinch. Beautiful attractions and quaint villages a stones throw away. This could not have been a more perfect location for our family to bond! Why get a few campsites, a condo or a hotel room when you can have a home? The bang for your buck is amazing. We are already planning our trip next year to our new favorite home away from home!
The house is located right in the heart of the Southern Vermont ski areas. Just 3 miles to Magic Mountain, 8 miles to Bromley Mountain, 12 miles to Stratton Mountain, 17 miles to Okemo Mountain, and a bit further out is Killington Mountain 38 miles north. Londonderry is situated just at the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest with many outdoor activities available. The Fall color display is world famous here for good reason. During the warmer months many of the towns have fun events for the whole family. Try the famous cheddar of Grafton Village, soak up the classic Vermont charm of the town of Chester with it's great craft shops, see the art galleries in Weston, or go to Manchester for the best high end outlet stores. Hapgood Pond in the Hapgood State Forest offers a leisurely day at the beach with walking trails and picnic areas as well. Bromley mountain has a summer activities park during the summer with the longest alpine slide around. The entire area offers many great farm-to-table philosophy restaurants Vermont is well known for. Southern Vermont really has a lot to offer all year round.
