Perfect for family vacations, hikers, skiers, hunters, adventure seekers, or for those who just want to get away from it all. Features a new kitchen with granite counter tops, back yard, wraparound deck, wood burning stove, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Flat screen TV with cable and free WiFi for your convenience. The entire interior has been painted and updated and includes a new laundry center.

The community of Locust Lake village has much to offer. Take a 4 minute walk to Pines Lake beach, or step outside your back door into state game lands #127. There are four lakes with lifeguards, concession stands, bathrooms and playgrounds are available as well as weekly activities, most of which are free for families. In the winter, enjoy the village's two ski slopes or the sledding hill. Badges are required and available at the main office.

There is so much to do in the Pocono Lake area. A short drive takes you to major ski resorts, championship golf, hiking, and adventure. Kalahari indoor water park is 15 minutes away. Experience the excitement of the Pocono Raceway, the Mt. Airy Casino, or travel to Scranton or Wilkes Barre for sporting and cultural events. The area also features numerous farmers markets and antique shops, as well as outlet shopping.

The Chalet is nestled among maples, oaks, and beeches. A vast state game land borders the backyard. We love our secluded mountain home and we know you will love it too! Browse the photos and request a booking when you're ready.

About Craig and Sue Snyder

Craig and Sue Snyder live in Garnet Valley, PA. We are both music teachers who enjoy the outdoors.

Craig and Sue Snyder purchased this chalet in 2015

Why Craig and Sue Snyder chose Pocono Lake

We always wanted a place in the mountains where we could hike, golf, kayak, and most importantly, just relax. This property is perfect for us and we hope it will be perfect for your vacation. We have renovated the chalet from top to bottom and continue to make improvements.

What makes this chalet unique

This home could not be in a better location in the village. For families, being able to walk to the beach on the largest lake in the development is amazingly convenient. For hunters, you are able to step right off the property into the state game lands. And for skiers, the village boasts two private slopes as well as proximity to the greatest skiing in the Poconos.

But it's the property itself that is the real attraction. The pine paneled ceiling with its recessed lighting and skylights creates that "vacation home" feeling as soon as you walk in. The main room is a wonderful place to gather and play board games. The sleeping loft is great for the kids, while the adults can enjoy the privacy of two downstairs bedrooms. Our kitchen has all the conveniences of home, and you can do your laundry right on the premises.

Outside, we are proud to have one of the few grass backyards in the development, with room to throw the ball or frisbee around. Our fire pit is yours to use (wood not provided) and includes 8 Adirondack chairs. The deck is a great place to relax and eat your meals in the crisp mountain air. Sit outside in the early morning or dusk and catch a glimpse of white tailed deer in the woods, or just enjoy the absence of lawn mowers, street and air traffic, air conditioners, and other noisemakers that invade our lives. When you spend your vacation at our chalet, you will only notice the quiet, the fresh air, and your proximity to nature.

Great little jem in the big woods

  • 5 of 5

Perfectly sized cozy cabin in a great location! The only thing missing is a keyhook by the front door - has everything else you could need! Nicely decorated, great use of space with comforable beds, too! Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Owner's Response: Thanks Jeanette. We love the chalet and get really excited when others do too! And we are looking for a key hook that will fit the themed decor!

Lovely home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time at Craig & Sue's place. The chalet was impeccably clean and so cozy. It had everything you could possibly need and is close to many ski moutains & tubing. We were very greatful the owners let us stay past the check-out time on our last day. I would definitely recommend this property! Thank you for everything!

Very Cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and pots/pans you might need. The pillows, beds, and comforters are in great condition. The house was clean. There were lots of games and movies to choose from. The wood burning stove was working well as was the outdoor fire pit. We would definitely stay again. We are even thinking of visiting in the summer.
