This quiet and cosy flat is located on the penthouse floor of a 19th century classic building with a concierge.

The flat has a small fully equipped kitchen with a two ring hob, fridge, washing machine and cutlery, pots and pans. There is a bedroom, a sitting room and has a beautiful planted terrace with deck chairs. Also there is cable t-v and free internet via WIFI.

Barcelona’s extensive Eixample district brings together a large number of modernista buildings of great architectural value. However, it is the central part which showcases most of the buildings designed in this style. Known as the Quadrat d’Or (Golden Square), it is the place where Barcelona’s moneyed classes came to live in the flats designed by the leading architects of the day, such as Gaudí.

You will find something to suit every taste in this area, design and fashion shops, relaxing parks and a range of bars and cafes to have your morning coffee in. There are also a good number of restaurants, bars and discos for those looking for some nightlife Barcelona is so famous for.

It can be difficult to resist the temptation to stop and try out some the local pastries & coffees, drinks & tapas or have dinner in some of the most fashionable restaurants in Barcelona. Towards the bottom of L´Eixample it meets with Plaza Catalunya and the beginning of the Gothic Quarter.

The Eixample is one of the prettiest and safest districts of Barcelona. Places of interest not to miss: Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia with those beautiful Antonio Gaudi’s buildings such as La Pedrera and La Casa Battló and Plaza España that has a fountain display with lights and music in the evening time.

Wayne and I enjoyed your beautiful apartment, the perfect entrance to our trip through Spain. . . . It is so well appointed. Everything that I could have wanted was right at hand. Not once did I wish I had something. I spent one morning in your bright and sunny reading room just making plans for the day. What a wonderful experience, walking from the street through massive wooden doors and soaring ceilings and polished marble floors. Thank goodness for the lift! The penthouse outdoor living area was the perfect place to check the weather, read my book or just relax.

The location was superb. The street has a median filled with restaurants with outdoor seating. One restaurant we couldn't resist on several occasions. Great food. A little coffee shop across the street for a quick bite or coffee on the run. A bakery. A bookstore. A straight shot in one direction to the bustle of a city with great shopping and the tourist buses that give sunshine and earphones to guide us through Barcelona. So many defining historical points are waiting to disclose their secrets. The other direction? More restaurants and shops . . . linens and perfumeries. Oh, and a bookstore. close by.

The next time I come back to Barcelona - and I will be back - I will be in touch to stay in this space.

Fun time in funky, well located apartment!

Great location - quite funky and fun to stay in. Enjoyed the sitting room overlooking outside patio. Apartment was at back and top floor and very quiet, Stairs/elevator was challenging; however we managed and had fun. Apartment was well stocked with necessities and was very clean. Owner, Phillipe, was a delight! He met us early and took a lot of time explaining things. Answered all our questions about sightseeing, made dinner reservations for us and confirmed a taxi to airport. Again, location was wonderful and we had a great stay in beautiful Barcelona!

We stayed in Philippe''s apartment for 5 days before a transatlantic cruise. Everything was easy as Philippe''s instructions were excellent. Took the Aerobus from the airport. Amazing value and the easiest way to reach downtown Barcelona.The apartment is in a safe and clean area with easy access to the main Barcelona sights. We loved the patio on the rooftop and the interior is comfortable, clean and well appointed. Philippe was an excellent host and even printed out some tickets for us. We will go back there. Highly recommended.

The only negative and the reason for not giving 5 stars is that the elevator goes only to the 4th floor and you need to walk the staircase with heavy cases up to the apartment. We managed but someone with mobility issues would find it a challenge.

This is the perfect place to stay in Barcelona. It’s convenient to everything, yet absolutely dark and quiet for sleeping. The penthouse balcony is a weal bonus.

Great Location

Lovely property. Convenient to find. Great to have been met for checkin. Had not realised terrace faced the back and not onto La Rambla de Catyluna. Overall a nice stay. Would do again.
