About the property

2-Bedroom, 2-Bath Condo in Fantastic Neighborhood

With street performances, festivals, food carts, restaurants, great architecture, and nightlife aplenty, there's much to see and do in the lively Rittenhouse Row--arguably Philadelphia's greatest neighborhood--and it's all just outside the door of this classy, big-city condo.

Along with that Rittenhouse frolic and fun, the City of Brotherly Love boasts plenty of can't-miss national historic treasures only blocks away from your condo. Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House are all within walking distance. Your condo is also close to world-class art and cultural venues, with the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (with the famous steps from the movie, Rocky) both just a couple miles away, running distance if you've got a nice pair of retro sweats and “the eye of the tiger.” We know you do.

With this condo, you don't rent a Philadelphia vacation rental cluttered with “the owner's stuff”—no, no, you get a posh condo all to yourself. So, let's get you settled in, and then we'll take you out on the town, show off this great neighborhood and where to eat – and do it in style!

Your 2-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom Condo:

King-size bed in the master room for sprawling out and sleeping deeply

Queen-sized bed in second room for plenty of awesome zzzz's

En-suite master bathroom with tub and shower for a bathroom to yourself

Shared second bath for potty dancing kids and no morning lines

Fully-equipped kitchen for cooking at home

Free fast and reliable WiFi for work and fun; cable TV for lounging in style

Floor-to-ceiling windows for plenty of Philly sun from head to toe

Hardwood floors for a timeless look and homey feel

In-unit washer/dryer for looking good with less packing

Air conditioning for staying cool throughout your stay

Ironing board/iron and hair dryer means less you have to pack

Coffee maker to jumpstart your day or power you through that project

With a rooftop lounge, great commons areas to spread out in, cozy fire pits for extending the evening outdoors, and an awesome gym, the building amenities make life good. Grill dinner outside with friends, and then hit the rooftop lounge to take in views of Rittenhouse Row and downtown Philly. The building offers plenty of activities and conveniences. Best of all, with a Walk Score of 99, there's no need for Uber. Just bring your walking shoes!

Rooftop lounge with WiFi for sipping cocktails and sharing selfies

Community grilling area for barbecuing for the whole gang under Philly skies

Central courtyard gets you some sun without going far, great for a break from your room

Community TV for catching up on your favorite shows

High-tech gym makes it easy to keep fit on the road

24/7 concierge covers the details so you don't have to

Controlled building access for optimal security and peace of mind

Why this particular condo, you might ask? So we've let you in on the condo's features, like the sprawling king-size bed, the floor-to-ceiling windows and great views. Then there are the building's amenities complete with rooftop lounge, firepits, and outdoor grills. And of course, there's the neighborhood. Your condo is just steps from great dining, shopping, and entertainment in the fantastic Rittenhouse Row neighborhood, and merely blocks from Philadelphia's downtown. In Rittenhouse you're at the peak of urban living in one of the greatest American cities. Happy adventuring! Here are some important logistics:

Distance to popular attractions

14 minute walk to JFK Plaza/LOVE Park

13 minute walk Benjamin Franklin Parkway

13 minute walk to City Hall

20 minute walk to Reading Terminal Market

27 minute walk to Philadelphia Museum of Art/Rocky Steps

28 minute walk to Liberty Bell/Independence Hall

5 minute walk to Rittenhouse Square

The necessities

Your pharmacy: CVS - 3 minute walk

Your caffeine: Joe Coffee - 5 minute walk

Your ATM: Bank of America - 4 minute walk

Your grocery: Di Bruno Bros. - 5 minute walk

The festive Rittenhouse Row is so loaded with food carts, street entertainment, music venues and throngs of interesting folks, it'll be hard to stay focused enough to decide where to eat and what to do. We struggle with that, too, so here are some great options, from one of the world's best ice cream parlors, to roasted chicken wars… Huh? You'll see...

Five Local Favorites

The Dandelion

Welcome to England in Philadelphia! The Dandelion is a spot-on recreation of an English gastropub. Along with fantastic food and drinks, Dandelion features a fetching canine theme to its atmosphere, and it's the perfect place for brunch, lunch, dinner -- or just to grab a quick beer. Dandelion's British-style fish-and-chips is scrumptious and filling. Or, splurge and try the duck and chicken liver parfait paired with toast. It's delish! Dandelion's pickles and fig jam is a creamy, delicious delight, as are the deviled eggs, so give those a whirl. Go ahead and cancel your low-carb diet this vacation because you can't so “no” to a plate of Dandelion's mac-and-cheese. And, come thirsty. The Dandelion also features a fantastic lineup of British beers, plus exquisitely mixed cocktails (we recommend Pimm's Cup) and an assortment of British ciders.

124 S 18th St. - 5 minute walk

Capogiro Gelato

Not at all your average artisan gelateria, Capogiro's made National Geographic's list of top 10 best ice cream parlors known to mankind. Just 2 blocks away, it's almost as close as the gym. Hey, the two balance each other out. Right? With nearly 400 flavors on rotation annually, Capogiro has got the classics as well as the exotics covered. We adore the Rosemary Honey, but you know, ice cream is personal. So pick your fave. They've got it. Likely what landed Capogiro on National Geographic's list is its rule that everything, from the bases to flavorings, are made in-house, in true Italian style. And that's what makes Capogiro so YUM!

117 S 20th St. - 2 minute walk

Vernick Food & Drink

There are times you need 5-star food without the uptight atmosphere that often comes along with it. Vernick's is your place. We've got a thing for roasted chicken, so we're just going to come out and say that Vernick's has some of the tenderest-inside and crispiest-outside chicken we've ever had, thanks to the deft Vernick cooks and awesome wood-fired grill. Succulent perfection! Vernick's also mixes the common with the exotic well. We recommend the scrambled eggs covered in delicious foamed yogurt and uni (sea urchin). You'll go for the great food, and you'll stay for the great service, as Vernick's is always on their game. A superb culinary experience, every time!

2031 Walnut St. - 4 minute walk

Friday Saturday Sunday

FSS pulls off one of the best we've ordered, and is obviously engaged in a battle for roast-chicken supremacy with Vernick's. Our jury is still out, so we'll leave it to you to decide the victor. Although the food is as great as their cocktails, let's look at the latter because the mixologists at FSS are champs at whipping up fantastic drinks. In fact, FSS's Assassin's Handbook, a mixture of cognac, mulled wine, Jamaican rum, averna, and amaro, with a dash of habanero (you in?) was noted as the city's best drink by Philadelphia Magazine. Go thither and drink! FSS's skilled and friendly bartenders will treat you right. One thing we like about FSS is how knowledgeable all the staff are; arriving at your table just at the right time with either great advice or great food!

261 S 21st Street - 6 minute walk

Lacroix Restaurant at the Rittenhouse

Another great spot, Lacroix boasts great traditional breakfast dishes as well as bars and buffets that are just too difficult to decide between. There's an awesome raw bar stocked with delectable caviar. There's also a fantastic cured meat station that fills you quickly. But be sure to save room, because Lacroix also features a station dedicated to the veneration of scrumptious cheeses. Mouth watering yet? On your first visit to Lacroix, be sure to get a tour of the dining options (just ask the staff), since the best of the buffet is really located within the kitchen (you're welcome there at Lacroix). With great food and a refreshingly casual atmosphere (great for traveling), Lacroix is the place to come in wearing jeans and still expect the red-carpet treatment. A great experience, plus great views of Rittenhouse Square!

Great time in a fun city

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about our stay--the condo was exactly as described, everything worked (ok the TV didn't but we don't watch that much anyway) the views were spectacular, the beds were comfortable, it was an easy walk to the Convention Center, and the concierges were terrific. Each of the young men was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay tremendously

Good location and clean but some issues

  • 4 of 5

Clean, spacious, nice area. One broken lamp and one tub would barely drain. I called after one night with 2 nights remaining and nothing was addressed during our stay (they said it might not be). Overall a pretty good experience

Home for the week

  • 4 of 5

I have stayed at different rentals in Philadelphia over the past 5 years and this was great. Plenty of space. A little bit worn due to it being an older building (furniture is different in the actual unit for the dining room and living room but nothing major). The kitchen came in handy because I was working retail and it was nice to prep all my meals to have and come home to. Concierge service was very accommodating.

Great find in the City of Brotherly Love!

  • 5 of 5

One of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in in the Philadelphia area. The location is great - we walked everywhere (Art Museum, Love Park, South Street, Independence Hall area, Chinatown, Italian Market) and were close to great little taprooms and restaurants. The apartment was exactly as advertised, clean, roomy and felt like a home not a hotel. Enjoyed the view! Would definitely recommend and would stay again on my next visit back!
