Photos and Description of this Prescott holiday house

3 Bdrm, 2 1/2 Bath, Walking Distance To Historic Downtown Prescott AZ

"Our Craftsman Home" is the perfect escape from the Phoenix or Las Vegas Summer Heat, or a quick weekend getaway into the Mountain Pines. 1.5 hours from Phoenix, 3 hours from Las Vegas, 5.5 hours from Los Angeles/Orange County. One mile to Whisky Row....

Feels like home, light & bright, open up the house during the summer for a nice breeze, or get the fireplace going during those colder times. There’s a nice patio deck off the kitchen for morning coffee, getting some fresh air or just enjoying the view.

Rural feeling surrounded by natural landscaping and trees, yet walking distance to all your needs, including Downtown Whisky Row & the Courthouse Square.

Drive-in from Los Angeles, Phoenix or Las Vegas. Or fly in on Great Lakes Airlines. Check your city for direct flights. Once you get to the house, you can walk or ride a bike to wherever you need to get to.

Kick back in a beautifully furnished home walking distance to all that Prescott has to offer. The Craftsman Home has a first floor bedroom with a king size bed, ceiling fan, clock radio with docking station for your I-phone or USB for any other phone. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs one with a queen size bed the other with a full size, dressers, ceiling fans and large closets. You can stay home and cook meals in the fully equipped, modern kitchen. There is a front porch with rocking chairs to quietly sit and read a book or to enjoy a glass of wine with a friend. The yard is professionally landscaped with solar lighting guiding you along a walking path in the back yard. The patio has a Weber barbecue grill and seating for up to eight people. It’s a great location for entertaining whether serving meals or stargazing on a cool summer evening. There is a bathroom on each floor, full size washer & dryer, satellite TV and Wi-Fi.

The weather in Prescott is hard to beat: more than 300 days of sunshine with four distinct seasons due to the 5400 feet elevation. The town square has various boutiques, open-air bistros, numerous restaurants, live entertainment nightly, theaters, art shows, film festivals, craft fairs and outdoor concerts. It’s also the Christmas capital of Arizona with activities galore during the holiday season. Never a dull moment… check out the “Things to DO” at www.prescott.com. This website will update you with attractions, tours, outdoor recreation, winery tours, shopping, casinos and special events.

There are hiking and biking trails for the outdoor enthusiast along with bike shops that will rent equipment to you and your family. We have trail maps and menus along with suggestions of places to visit. Prescott was the first capital of the territory of Arizona and is home to the Prescott National Forest. This is pine tree country with scenic crystal clear mountain lakes and it provides activities that are fun and picturesque beyond words. Watson Lake is 4 miles from home and one of our favorite places to go as it features fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, camping and day picnicking.

About Property Manager/Owner

Hello! We are Doug and Barbara Johnston and our “main” home is in Bakersfield, California. At every opportunity, we escape to the peace and relaxation we have in our "Craftsman Home" at Prescott! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Property Manager/Owner chose Arizona

During the many years we’ve traveled abroad, we always kept an eye open for a “getaway place” to enjoy and perhaps even live one day. A laid back place that was slow and relaxed and yet one that offered a variety of activities that would keep things fresh and exciting. On our most recent trip to Prescott Arizona we knew we'd found what we were looking for. With it's warm, friendly people – we knew we found the perfect destination.

When we first saw the Craftsman home, it was all over. We'd found a beautiful home that was easily accessible to the Town of Prescott and yet far enough away to retain it’s exclusivity, yes….we knew this was the right place….the little piece of paradise that we could call our own! Quaint and stunningly impressive with it's Craftsman style and lost in the woods feel we bought and we’ve not had one regret!

What makes this house unique

Feels like home, light, bright, open floor plan with all the amenities needed to be at home, while away from home. Closeness to all that the Prescott area has to offer.

It just doesn't get much better then this.

Fantastic house! Clean, comfortable beds, modern appliances, delightful decor. Close enough to walk to downtown. Couldn't ask for more in a Prescott! What a great vacation home.

Great house and fun town

  • 5 of 5

We had a group coming into Prescott for a wedding. We wanted to stay together and some of the hotels seemed a bit too pricey for what you got. This house was much nicer than all of the other options in town and a great price! Well appointed, nice furnishings, plenty of space and privacy for couples or families. It's an easy walk to the downtown restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. If you just want to chill around the house, there's also three decks and a front porch.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this home and the property owners. It had EVERYTHING we needed, even down to the tupperware! The patios are amazing and the house is lovely and spacious. The location is great, it's very close to the downtown area which made our stay convenient.

I HIGHLY recommend this rental!

Beautiful home, update throughout! Upscale furnishings and decor. Wonderful outdoor living spaces.

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our recent stay at this home as a getaway from the heat of Phoenix. The smell of the pines in the clear, cool mountain air was a refreshing change. Once we got used to the altitude and hilly terrain, we were able to walk to the Square (the heart of Prescott). It's not a long distance, but it is a climb coming back up the hill. The home is spacious and beautifully decorated/furnished. The patios and front porch were all inviting and comfortable to enjoy the cool mountain climate. It was obvious that both the home and yard had been updated by professionals. They did an excellent job! It is by far the nicest home on the street. We would not hesitate to rent it again.
