This apartment boasts granite kitchen counters, a LCD TV, beautiful Tiger Wood floors, front load laundry, and new quality furnishings, including a king and a queen bed. The unit has a clean, bright and spacious feeling while the prevailing 15 knot trade-winds and the high powered ceiling fans with remotes keep the unit fresh and comfortable. An open floor plan has the king bed on the main level along with the living and dining area, kitchen, laundry and full bath. Up the custom Italian staircase, you will find an open A-frame loft with queen bed and built in closet and dressers. This sleeping set up is ideal for a couple, a small family, or a small group of close friends. Sleeps 1-4 guests.
Sit on a lounge chair on the private lanai, and enjoy a truly mesmerizing view of the jungle and the beautiful Hanalei mountains, which are often draped with waterfalls. The grounds of Hale Moi have lush, tropical landscaping with many types of beautiful plants and flowers. Free wireless internet access in the condo enables you to bring your laptop to keep in touch with family and friends and perhaps even do some work while enjoying this beautiful tropical island. There is also a shared grill area, in the middle of the condo complex, for your BBQ needs.
I came to Kauai the first time as a teenager in the 1970's and did not come back again until my daughter, Jessica, decided to marry a Kauai man and move to Princeville. Jessica fell in love with the lush, tropical, exotic, mysterious and wonderous island; where at any given time you can see Monk Seals, Sea Turtles, schools of Dolphin and Whales. One can Paddle Board or Kayak up the Hanalei river or Hanalei Bay, Scuba Dive, Snorkel, hike the many trails and eat at fabulous restaurants or simply enjoy a simple meal while relaxing on the Lanai.
After my daughter moved to Kauai, I followed her and have become captivated by the Island and all it has to offer.
I live in Silicon Valley California so Jessica and Steven are managing my delightful Hale Moi-The Orchid Room condo. Prior to buying The Orchid Room, I stayed many, many times in the Hale Moi condos while visiting Jessica. I love the lush, tropical jungle overlooking the Lanai. Across the street is the Famous Bluff for watching the Bali Hai Sunset and a short walk will bring you to the St. Regis Resort for 5 star restaurant, Spa and mesmerizing daily Sunset Happy Hour, not to mention a Gourmet Sunday Brunch.

Don't forget to take the UFO boat tour of the Napali Coast which leaves from Hanalei Bay.
You will be treated to entering the Sea Caves with Waterfalls and Open Ceilings (which only a small boat can do) and an opportunity to Snorkel along the World Famous Coastline with Sea Turtles, Dolphins, Exotic fish and who knows what else you may see underwater.

Location: Close to the Westin and the St. Regis if you want to eat or drink there. Short walk to Queen's Bath. We drove almost everyday to the South for activities such as bike riding along the coast in Kapaa, swimming in PoiPu, hiking in Waimea Valley. We also loved the short drive to Hanalei Bay. This island is very relaxing compared to other Hawaiian islands.
Amenity: The kitchen is well equipped with pot pans and utensils. The pantry only consists of salt pepper and garlic powder soy sauce and sriracha. I would hope that over time, guests would add more to the collection. Guests should bring their own shampoo and body wash also.
Noise: The roosters though, made so much noises everywhere on the island, so brace yourself with some earplugs.
Thank you Jessica for being super responsive. She went out of her way to make sure our vacation is as smooth as possible. I will consider going back with the children and rent both The Orchid Room and the Aloha Loft at the same time.
for two of us it was perfect - although another small table would have been welcome. we did not use the loft bedroom.
it's clean, has a great view of the central coast mountains over a jungle-like garden and some of the golf course. despite being on a main road in Princeville it did feel secluded. everything we needed was there, and the property is gradually being thoroughly renovated.
Hale Moi's, is a low density, mostly residential condo complex with a location that at is hard to beat. If you feel like exploring by foot there are a few great options only a short walk from your door. Want secluded beaches? Try "Pali Ke Kua's" beach, 15 minute walk down a tropical paradise paved path, or "Hideaway's" a few minutes further on down a more adventurous dirt path, or St. Regis's Public access beach, a 20 minute stroll from the apartment. Another wonderful option, Queen's Bath, is a pleasant 20 minute walk through Princeville neighborhoods and down a tropical path to natural lava pools. Feel more like 5 star treatment? The newly renovated St. Regis Princeville Resort, with world class restaurants, Spa, golf courses and a great sunset lounge, is only a 15 minute walk.
Jump in the car and you will find the boutique shops and wonderful restaurants of picturesque Hanalei Town (10minutes), enjoy the famous surf and crescent shaped beach of Hanalei Bay (10 minutes), explore the wild caves and tropical, empty beaches of Haena and "the end of the road" (20-25 minutes). The newly renovated Princeville Shopping center is only 5 minutes drive, and has restaurants, shops, dry cleaners, post office and more. Head 10 minutes the other direction and you have the choice of beaches, the protected "Anini Beach", wild "Secrets beach", or "Rock Quarry Beach". Kilauea town, only 10 minutes by car has a small boutique type town center and the beautiful nature reserve, the Kilauea Lighthouse. The North Shore is also full of adventure activities such as kayaking, hiking, horse back riding, surfing, snorkeling, kite boarding, wind surfing, golfing, and more. Many of these activities can be done independently or with local guides at some of the many adventure shops and tour agencies.
