The unit itself was decent. However, when we first arrived we noted there was zero toilet paper in the condo! There are two bathrooms, and each one had about 1% left of the roll. So if anyone had to actually use the bathroom, we would be in big trouble, real quick! In addition, there weren’t any paper towels provided (typically condo owners will provide you with one roll), only one garbage bag (the one in use) so we could only take out the garbage once, and the dishwasher soap was actually just a rinse that you use after the cycle, so we couldn’t use that either. So, we had to go to the store first thing after travel to get there and buy toilet paper.. Not exactly a pleasant start to the stay.

The unit comes with a full kitchen, but the kitchen is so lacking that it’s hard to use. When we book a unit with a kitchen, it’s because we want to be able to use the kitchen. There aren’t any mixing bowls, which meant making pancakes a bit of a challenge. The one and only knife was small and dull. And we had to wash every dish prior to using them because every dish was dirty (see comment above about no dishwasher soap).

Another complaint was the lack of direction at the unit itself. When we arrived, we were told to go right to the unit in order to self-check in. However, the complex is locked down with key cards and keys. So the only way to get in without either is for the leasing office to let you in. But when we asked them, they just told us where the unit was and didn’t provide any direction. Which meant I had to go back out and call the booking company. They didn’t provide any additional assistance. I had to go back twice in order to ask the “right” question. Then they allowed us to walk in through the leasing office. When it came to taking the garage out, again there were no instructions on where the onsite garbage was located. So I went down to the leasing office to ask, and they treated me like an idiot. One women said it was down the hall.. It’s a 500+ unit complex with like six buildings. So not that simple. Then luckily another gentlemen told me it was in a closet, behind a closed door mind you. Every condo I have ever stayed in provided details on where to find everything on site. This is so you aren’t roaming a six building complex looking for the secret garbage room hidden behind the closed door.

Lastly, I was outraged to find out that the booking company withheld over 5% of my deposit for “processing”. I was forced to use Paypal because that is...

We arrived at 3:30 pm 5/21/16. The apartment door key was not there. After an email and 2 phone calls, I spoke with Morin who said the cleaners had the key and she would contact them. 35 minutes later I called her back to find out what was the situation. She had contacted the cleaners and they could drop the key off at 7 pm. We could not wait that late since it affected our plans for the evening. We told Morin this and she said she would see if they could get there sooner. They dropped the key off at 5:30.

To add to the inconvenience of not being able to fully check in when we needed to, we were not satisfied with the accommodations because ...

- not enough toilet paper to last 4 people a week

- Trash had not been taken out

- No instructions on where to take trash

- No trash bags

- Dish soap but no sponge to wash dishes

- Freezer smells like fish

- No hair dryer but there is a hair straightener (left from previous guest?)

- No hand towels or washcloths

- No pool towels

- Not enough general seating for four people

I know this is not a hotel, so we don't expect all the same amenities. But when we're paying the same rate as the ritz Carlton, I think some of these basic amenities should be included. This property is not meant to be rented for a week. It is managed for long-term rentals

Finally I saw that this property is now listed at 15% off. I was charged for the rental fee back in April when I wanted to wait to pay until just before the trip. I didn't argue the point then as the payment process was not easy.

Overall we are not satisfied with the service, amenities, and experience. Someone from management did contact us after a second email. the only thing they could offer was 2 free nights in another location and city in the future. I won't be using this site again, even if free.
