Great Fall Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend here from 10/20-10/23. My wife and I stayed here with my brother and his wife and our two dogs. The property is perfect for four people. Indoors, the open floor plan is optimal for hanging out together and cooking. The main floor master bedroom has a super comfortable queen bed. My brother and sister-in-law said the loft was also very comfortable for sleeping. Outside, there's great hiking with the dogs in the wooded area out the back door. The area has great restaurants, shopping (including a wonderful bookstore in town), and scenery. The owners were very accessible and helpful. A special shout-out to the property's caretaker who found my forgotten sport coat and shirt hanging in the closet and promptly mailed them to me. We would readily return.

The barn is beautiful, has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The location is just as beautiful and the proximity to Manchester is so convenient. We want to own a barn just like it. We will definitely be back.

I wish this was my house!!

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything we needed for a great getaway! The house and the decor are both beautiful and comfortable. We spent most of our days out exploring and shopping and came back to relax in the evenings. We played cards and had a game of monopoly that lasted the length of our stay. Our kids loved the loft area and while the house only has one bedroom it didn't feel cramped at all for a family of 6 and our dog! Our son broke his leg 2 weeks before we arrived so we didn't get to explore the trails on the property as much as we would have liked to but what we did hike on was really fun. We would love to make it back again.

A slice the of heaven in earth!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect fall foliage weekend getaway! My four friends' & I have been coming to Manchester, VT for the past 14 years as our "Ladies weekend" away. We have always stayed in a local Motel, & was satisfied. We decided to treat ourselves to a home away from home this year, & boy did we find it! We didn't realize what we were missing out on until the gift of this house came along. From the pristine setting, to the peace & quiet. Not to mention how immaculate the interior of the house is, as well as beautifully decorated. It is close enough to the shopping & restaurants of Manchester, but such a relaxing environment to come home to after being out exploring all day. The owner was very pleasant to deal with, as well as very timely to answer all of my questions I had for him.

I am booking it now for next year!!!

Quintessential Vermont

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this beautiful home over Columbus Day Weekend. We have rented many homes in and around the Manchester area for many years and this home was definitely one of our favorites. It was in a perfect location - far enough away to feel secluded, but close enough to Manchester and Dorset to hop over when we wanted. We actually loved staying in and cooking in the kitchen, which was perfectly stocked with anything and everything you would need. It was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of hiking (we recommend Merck Forest for a perfect day of trails). Plenty of board games and my daughter loved the loft as well. The home just defines the Vermont feel that we love and the Abraham Lincoln art piece is so cool! We hope to return sooner than later and thank the Robertsons for sharing such a special place.

What an amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a great weekend at the barn. Rustic but comfortable, it was exactly what we were looking for, and just as described. Very clean as well. The location is only about a 5 minute drive from Manchester, so getting into town for the restaurants and shopping was easy. We will definitely be back.
