Overview

Photos and Description of this Accord holiday farmhouse

Luxury Farmhouse with In-Ground Pool, Hot Tub and 10+ lush acres to explore.

Deerfield Farm is a 10+ acre estate in an idyllic country setting complete with a renovated farmhouse (with central air conditioning and heating), in-ground pool and pool house, deep irrigated pond for swimming, fishing and boating and barn across multiple fields of beautifully landscaped property. Our very own apple orchard and organic gardens hosting seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs are all here for our guests use for farm to table extravaganzas. Close to the towns of Stone Ridge, Woodstock and New Paltz, there is no shortage of fabulous activities including award winning restaurants, antique shops, local country stores, wineries and farmers’ markets galore.

The farmhouse sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably in 4 bedrooms, a sleeping cove and detached studio complete with top of the line luxury linens and bedding.

A beautiful, fully appointed chef’s kitchen - with soapstone counters, double ovens, multiple dishwashers, sub-zero refrigerator and views of the willow trees hovering over the pond from every window – will make it a pleasure to cook for large family gatherings. The bar with copper finishes, wet sink and wine fridge is stocked with a variety of beautiful stemware as well as an ice-maker.

Retreat to the family room for a movie on our big screen tv after a day of hiking, boating and even swimming in our beautiful in-ground pool. Relax in the hot tub with spa like features in the cooler months and then have a glass of wine in front of the stone fireplace in the living room. Paddle around the pond in one of our paddle boats (ice-skating permitted once the pond freezes; we have multiple pairs of ice-skates available and included in your rental) or nap in a hammock under the willow trees. Hike through the old horse paddocks on the farm or stroll down our country road for other beautiful sites. Stargaze while lounging on the back deck or by the fire-pit while roasting marshmallows. All of this and more is what will fill your days and nights at Deerfield Farm.

We work hard to ensure our guests have nothing less than a superb stay and are available for concierge services 24 hours a day. The entire estate is kept in immaculate condition and your rental includes use of luxury linens and bedding including 100% Egyptian cotton towels, 600 thread count sheets, down (and down alternative for those allergic) pillows and blankets, plush throws and extra-large beach towels for the pool and hot-tub. We always only rent to one party at a time so you are guaranteed to have privacy with the whole farm to yourselves although we are close by in the local area should you need assistance during your stay.

A great place to stay.

The property is lovely - better than the pics. The owner, Rick, was very responsive to our few questions. Our family of five enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Great Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed 11 days at Deerfield Farm for our annual family summer vacation. There were four of us, including two young boys (4 & 6). The Farmhouse is very warm, welcoming, and charming. Though an older house, it has all of the modern day amenities one could ask for, including Central A/C, luxury kitchen, washer/dryer, hot tub (with a gorgeous view), ice machine, Sub Zero fridge, dish washer, and even a double oven. We spent most of our time at the pool every day, but also enjoyed hiking around the pond, fishing, and paddle boating. the pool area is also about 3+ acres and fenced in, so our Golden Retriever puppy had ample room to run around and explore during our stay. The furniture, towels, linens, and appliances are clean and of high quality. Perhaps most notably, we had a massive thunderstorm and the power in the Farmhouse went out for 6 hours. Not to worry, though, as a Full Home Generator kicked on and assuaged any fears we had about being stuck in the country without electricity or air conditioning (during a 97 degree day in the summer). We were in communication with Rick, one of the owners, a few times during our stay. He could not have been more friendly and accommodating. This may be our "go to" summer vacation destination for years to come.

Amazing property and owners

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a week at Deerfield Fams and had an amazing time! There were 8 of us, including 2 children ages 8 and 5, my sister, our parents and aunt, and 2 family dogs, so we spanned quite a range. The farmhouse was amazing- a perfect mix of old and new. The charm of an old farmhouse with original wide plank floors, yet with a truly outstanding kitchen and bathrooms, central air, gorgeous furniture. The layout of the house and property gave everyone space to relax or be together. The pool area was fenced, so our dogs could be off leash which was a great surprise. The stone front porch was covered, so perfect to sit during a thunderstorm. The wifi was great and worked well all over the house and property (which is not always the case). There was no cell service, but the wifi worked great and we could still text and email with no problem. And let's not forget the pool, hot tub, and pond with the paddle boat. We spent most of the day parked by the pool or in the hot tub! Rick and Heidi were an absolute pleasure, and they have made Deerfield Farms a wonderful place to stay! Every piece of furniture, towels, linens was first class and truly appreciated. Thank you Rick and Heidi for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back next year! The Johnsons and Bengels

A Winner!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 10 stayed here for a long weekend and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The kitchen is a dream and big enough to fit several people at once. We used the pool several times and were happy to find enough lounge chairs for everyone. The weather was beautiful and the surroundings breathtaking. My daughter enjoyed using the paddle boat and watching the fish jumping in the lake. The home was well appointed, immaculate and well stocked with towels (both beach towels and bathroom towels). I can't say enough positive things about the house. Rick was great to work with and quick to respond to my inquiries. I definitely would recommend renting the farmhouse - you'll have an amazing experience!

Perfect wedding weekend

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend Heidi and Rick's Deerfield Farm. It is truly a great hideaway but convenient to Mohonk and New Paltz. We attended a family wedding at Mohonk which was a short drive away from the house. The house was very accommodating for 4 adults and 6 kids. Everyone was able to find a hang out space and the kids loved the pool and the pond. The kids ranged in ages 9 to 14 and everyone had their own little space. The home was clean and well stocked with basic needs, and the gourmet kitchen was great to cook our meals and hang out with family in the same room. The farm is a treasure with a large vegetable garden and lots of running space for the kids. I especially LOVED the ice machine! The kitchen has everything: coffee machine, mixer, toaster, pots, pans, grill pans, coffee filter and more.

It was a pleasure working with Rick and we would love to re-visit Deerfield. Thanks for your great hospitality.

Slice of Heaven in Accord

  • 5 of 5

We have the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property for 4 days through the memorial Day Weekend. A short 2 hour drive from NYC, this property was pristine upon our arrival. The home is wonderfully decorated and amenities abounds. From the utensils, dish ware and linens, to towels, outdoor grill and appliances, everything was in great condition. The pool, pond and outdoor spaces kept us well occupied. The nearest store is only a 5 minute drive away. Rick was a joy to work with. Recommend highly.

Accord is located in the valley between the two mountain ranges that make Upstate New York a destination; the Catskills are visible to the Northwest, the Shawangunks to the Southeast. Spin in a circle and it's views, views, views. If you're a hiker and want a perfect home base from which to embark, Accord is a great choice. It's a short drive from Minnewaska State Park and Sam's Point Preserve and there are endless trails that wind through both mountain ranges.

Accord has another draw. It's with good reason that (what is thought to be) the nation's oldest public road, Route 209, passes directly through Accord. Dutch settlers found the Rondout Valley to be an ideal location for both farming (the valley is quite fertile) and trapping and the Rondout Creek was navigable by boat so they could transport their goods. It must have been a pretty cushy spot back when you needed to make your living from available natural resources. Those Dutch settlers built the many beautiful stone houses that are the crown jewel of Upstate NY real estate and still dot the fields of Accord. Today Accord's agricultural roots are bringing forth new fruit. Farm stands abound, there are more farmers in the Rondout Valley each year. If you want to cultivate your own garden or full-blown farm you'll find yourself in good company here.

When you've tired yourself out hiking or growing things and you need dinner and a movie, concert, or play, Woodstock, Stone Ridge, New Paltz and Kingston are all within a twenty minute drive from Accord.

Accord is near Minnewaska Sate Park and the Ashokan Reservoir - both incredibly beautiful for hiking. Also close to the Mohonk Mountain House and Preserve.
