Sarah was very helpful and made us feel that her house was our home. We would definitely return in the future. In addition to the house there is very pleasant outdoor space. The location is great with no disturbance at all from the high school opposite. Thanks for a great stay!
Super cute and clean cottage! We stayed here for almost a week and couldn't have been happier. Thank you!
While this is a very small cottage, the outdoor areas add living space. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine in the evening. It's close to the business area of Edina with it's shops, outdoor eateries and theatre. The house is clean and comfortable and Downtown Minneapolis is a short drive/ride away.
We stayed here for the month of May and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, being close to Lake Harriet and many bike paths that give
you access to different parts of the city. I walked from the house and around Lake Harriet nearly every day. We also rode our bikes around the Chain of Lakes route and Minnehaha trail around the creek. Not far from the house is a bike shop on 44th street that supplied us with bike trail maps and tips for biking
in the area. The bungalow is as stated: small but very functional. The decor was so bright and cheery. The bed was very comfortable - which I find essential.
The owner was responsive and very helpful when questions arose. We cooked most nights, and since my son lives in town, we did borrow some additional
cookware to fit our needs. However, owner offered to get anything additional that we needed. We used the A/C and heat at different times that month and both performed well, we were always comfortable. The kitchen appliances worked well, counter and cabinet space minimal and did not have a disposal or dishwasher. But as I say - I still cooked there most days and enjoyed the bright open rooms. The backyard is small, but very inviting. There is a gas grill that we did not use and a small deck. A table and chairs would be a nice addition for using the space, but very pleasing to the eye from the kitchen window.
The 2 most important items to me in a VBRO are the location and the bed - both 5 stars in this rental. We will definitely be back.
Great place. Small but seemed big. Good yard. Across the street from a high school so there is definitely traffic but parking was still easy (there is a garage) and great. No dishwasher but all appliances were perfect.
We stayed in the house while visiting friends and family in the Twin Cities. My husband, myself and our small dog stayed here for 5 nights. The house is very comfortable. We would definitely consider staying here again when we visit.
The house is centrally located in Edina in a very nice neighborhood. Southwest High School is across the street so there is quite a bit of traffic during the day and street parking can be tight. But since we parked in the driveway, it was not a problem.
Internet speed was fast (I worked from the house for a few days). The property is in excellent condition - and very clean. The bed was hard but comfortable and the kitchen was large enough to cook in if you want to.
Two things to be aware of if you are considering this property - the house is small. One bedroom, a small bathroom and kitchen and living room on the main floor. We would not recommend it for more than two adults. Also be aware that there are quite a few steps outside from the sidewalk to the house.
We are walking distance from Lake Harriet, and the historic trolley is still up and running...a fun afternoon outing...In the summers there are concerts at the LH Bandshell, with plenty of food and drink nearby....Downtown Linden Hills is also a great area for adults and children. Some of our daughters favorites are: Wild Rumpus, Heartfelt & Creative Kids Stuff.....
Sebastian Joes Ice Cream is a MUST! Tilia & The Harriet Brasserie are 2 of our favorite eating spots.
