Nice Place to stay
The house was spotlessly clean. Three bedrooms with laundry and one bath -ideal for family. There was also dining/ sitting room area. We stayed with my daughter, her husband and grandson (5 in total). There was plenty of parking space for 2 cars and the we could get to shopping areas easily by car.
Conatct arrangements were also great.
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. This is the experience we want all our guests to have on their vacations and it makes us happy when we succeed. Hope to see you back again.
Dirty and smelle musty
We had to buy cleaning supplies, it took several hours. Killed 15 + spiders, fridge had shelves of food in the door, microwave, pans, etc had to be cleaned. Laid my rag over the shower curtain bar, rag was a mess. Long story short, hire another cleaning person, invest money into your property. Beautiful location and lot, we left a day early because the musty smell made us sick.
We do leave condiments in the refrigerator and that's listed on our web site. Mayo, catsup and other commonly used condiments are checked for expiration dates and left for the convenience of guests. If we find spiders while cleaning we gently remove them and put them outside. here weren't any inside when we cleaned but one or two might have gotten in and I apologize but we still will not use poisons or sprays. We do clean the microwave between every guest, and also the sink, stove, refrigerator and the entire house.
My sister and I stayed at Judy's Place for a week and loved it. The place was very clean and comfortable. We were able to make ourselves right at home. Judy was very cordial and very attentive to our needs. I corresponded with her via texting and whenever I sent her a text with a question she replied immediately. The house was on two acres of land in the country so it was quiet and we loved the night sounds of the insects around. It was so relaxing. If we ever go out that way again we would certainly stay there again.
I'm happy you had a good time and I hope you get to come again. There's a spectacular firefly show in June and July!

Perfect for a stay with pets
This property had a nice rural setting. We didn't have to worry about disturbing any neighbors with our small dogs that bark because the property does not have another house that is close by. The house was clean, the owner made things easy for check in and check out. We had everything we needed and there was a nice book explaining everything. The location is nice because it is not too far from Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Since it is a rural setting be aware that some insects make it into the house. The property on the outside was a bit over grown and some of the trees are dead or dying. It is an older home so there is some uneven floors and the water has a metal smell. The owner provides a water cooler so that you have fresh water to drink. TV and wi-fi are also provided. Not the fanciest place but suited our needs well!
Yes, we are in the country and we are a certified National Wildlife Habitat. So we leave some dead trees with holes for birds and other animals like flying squirrels to nest and we don't spray the grounds with herbicides or pesticides. We also leave native wild plants for food and shelter for wildlife. So, it does look a little overgrown in spots but the wildlife does thrive.
There are too many attractions here to list them all. Hiking, sailing, biking, golfing and a trip along the Finger Lakes Wine Trail are favorites for many people. This is a mecca for antique hunters, and anyone with an interest in classical architecture should drive through the nearby Village of Trumansburg with its many historic houses. There are many State Parks in the area, and most of them have glorious waterfalls, hiking trails and many scenic gorges. The Art Trail runs directly past the house and during the open tours it’s a wonderful way to view local artists at work. The Museum of the Earth and the Science Museum are favorites of kids of all ages. Cornell Lab of Ornithology is worth a visit and the entire area is great for bird watching.
There are several live theater groups and great music opportunities for any sort of music you can imagine. Great local restaurants for just about any cuisine you can imagine.
