About Rena Nofsinger
We have put a lot of love into refurbishing the Farm House and the surrounding property with endless hours of fun and creating lasting family memories. I hope you enjoy the Farm House as much as we do. Rena and Chrismon

Why Rena Nofsinger chose East Wenatchee
My husband and I love Wenatchee because of the variety of outdoor activities it offers for our family. The weather is hot in the summer perfect for boating, hiking, fishing, water rafting, swimming and we enjoy the skiing opportunities in the winter too! Mission Ridge is the local ski hill and Stevens Pass Ski Resort is 60 minutes away. Wenatchee offers great restaurants, bakeries, wineries, antique stores and an incredible farmers market.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The Farm house has a unique ability to make people feel welcome. It is a 1917 home that we refurbished with a lot of love. The house has 2 beautiful river rock fireplaces, a covered deck that spans the full length of the west side of the house, a gourmet kitchen with gas cooking and stainless steel appliances, amazing view of the Columbia River and the Enchantment Mountains. Enjoy the large rolling lawn to play volleyball or bocce ball. Enjoy the hammock that is nestled between a maple tree and pine tree where bird watching is a must. Relax in the beautiful heated pool with endless views of the surrounding area. We have a 12 acre cherry and apple orchard to roam around in. You may even be able to pick some fruit depending on the season.

We loved staying here! The house is beautiful, cozy, well equipped and has a ton of amenities. The house itself is spacious and has everything you could need. The kids really enjoyed the outdoor activities too. Overall, wonderful stay!!!
Wonderful House with Amazing Views
The Farm is a beautiful property - great for large parties including kids. The six well-appointed bedrooms were key - there are three upstairs, two on the main level, and one downstairs with a full size bed and a twin bunk bed - absolutely perfect for a couple of families to stay. There was lots of space for the kids to play, and even a ton of toys and movies stocked to keep them occupied. The views from both living areas is spectacular, and the property has easy access to a great trail that runs along the river. The home was very clean and cozy. We definitely hope to be back again next year!
The Farm House was beyond even our highest expectations. Wonderful site, spacious pool with an electric cover that gave us comfort none of our children could fall in, plenty of bedrooms for all 7 of us - kids got their own rooms! Kitchen well stocked; the entire experience was just plain FUN. We hope to return next summer as well. We highly recommend this beautiful house.
We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the Farm House as much as we do.
Thank you for your review!
Love the feel of this home. This is the type of vacation rental where you feel like your staying at your rich grandparents house. Has all the amenities and comforts you could ask for plus the farm house charm that brings you the extra relaxation. Due to the home design and location its highly recommend for family gatherings/reunions.
Porterhouse Family Retreat
The party included two grandparents, six children, and 4 grandchildren (ages 2 yrs to 10 years). I am please to note that all interactions with the owner and/or property manger were cordial and attentive.
Located in the orchard country of East Wenatchee, WA this commodious farm house offers spectacular sunset views and extensive open space surrounding. All in the family would welcome the opportunity to return to this venue. Although the house is airconditioned, be prepared for hot times outside if you visit in July and August. Even though you are perched under one of the many umbrellas, the reflection around pool side can leave you with a burn.
Here are some things about the accommodations I would have preferred be otherwise:
--Water in the swimming pool is maintained (strictly) at 80 degrees - a temperature not cool enough for most of us to feel refreshed. I much preferred a dip in the nearby Columbia River, however, ready access was challenging.
--Most of the closets were filled with miscellaneous clothing, hats, and footwear that I assume was discarded or forgotten by previous visitors. Begging lingering questions about sanitation and odor, most of us were left with no place to stow our gear but on top of our luggage.
--A similar situation was manifest in the kitchen cabinets and refrigerators. These were filled with an array of codiments, seasonings, dry-goods, frozen foods, and staples most of which were undated or of unknown quality. At a grocery store I would never select for my personal consumption or use a jar of mayonnaise that had been opened, a half empty shampoo bottle, or a broken box of crackers. Who knows what might actually be in there?
--And again...the poolside shed was jammed with miscellaneous garden tools, inflatables, outdoor equipment, riding toys, canoes, bicycles, deck furniture, etc. - and some of it was damaged or in questionable operating condition. I ventured into the maelstrom only once.
--The visitor's manual contains a cautionary note about the care and use some brightly colored "antique" plates, cups, and bowls that are prominently displayed in a cabinet beside the kitchen sink - the implication being that these items are much valued, hard to find, and expensive to replace. Of course we never open said cabinet for fear of damage, loss, or shunning. In the absence of a generous supply of inexpensive, easily replaceable plastic plates, dishes and cups we struggled with paper goods.
Our goal at the Farm House is to exceed our guests expectations. We alsways appreciate feedback to gauge how we are doing. DAVID- thank you for your review and comments. All will be considered.
Our extended family stayed here in July and had a wonderful time. The views are incredible. The sunsets were breathtaking. Plenty of room and things to do around town. We visited Leavenworth and Cashmere while we were there. we took full advantage of the pool. It was very refreshing. We played games, took walks and BBQ'd, It definitely met all of our needs. There is only 1 thing I would change. There needs to be a few more TV's in the house. There is only 1 40in (?) in the basement. With all our different ages I think that would have been a plus. I realize we're suppose to be enjoying all the house has to offer but a TV at the end of the day is necessary for this family.
