Built in the late 1870's, this grand antebellum home is one of New Orleans finest in architectural design. Imagine yourself in the late 1800's living in a southern antebellum mansion that boasted the finest in design: iron work, columns, brick and brick patios with lamp post.

This home is right on the parade route and in close proximity to the St. Charles streetcar and bus lines that can take you from the Central Business District, French Quarter, Convention Center, the historical area called City of Carrollton, cemeteries, or to other parts of the Uptown that include Audubon Park and Tulane and Loyola Universities. Come enjoy one of the greatest American cities that welcome tourist's as if it were your home 'somewhere in time'.

Given the architectural beauty of this home, the bedrooms are private and quite large. Right off the kitchen is a new 13'x13' brick patio that also has a park-like lamp where you can sit in the yard and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The kitchen has all full-size appliances and all kitchenware is provided.

A new, large second bathroom was recently added that boasts an enlarged walk-in shower with subway tiles. A full-size washer and dryer have also been added in this new bathroom for your convenience.. The first bathroom has a tub which can also be used as a shower.

Off-street parking is also available for up to 2 cars parked in a single file line on the gated property. Plenty of on-street parking is available in front or along side of the house.

In addition to a nice, comfortable property is the concept of: Location! Location! Location! This home is found between two historical and lively streets, Magazine and St. Charles Avenue that has all the charm, shops, eateries that New Orleans can claim.

This property is on three city blocks which is quite unusual for this area so besides the large home, there's also a nice side yard and ample parking at the back of the home. As an antebellum, the architectural features are quite stunning. The home is quite majestic with its columns, trim work, iron work and history.

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood

This great house is close to everything. You can catch the St. Charles trolley just up the street and go anywhere you want to go, or walk down to Magazine Street, where there are lots of antique shops, restaurants, etc. The home itself is great, plenty of room and comfortable. The house is close to so many restaurants, so you have plenty to choose from in every price range. We highly recommend it

Great place to stay short walk to magazine street

We loved the place! Great rooms awesome shower I loved the walk in the best! And great location and the owners were great. I have a new found love for New Orleans. Magazine street has the right vibe nothing like Bourbon street but that's what we like how laid back it is and has the most friendly people around. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was cause I couldn't sleep the last night we stayed cause all I heard was walking back and forth from the room above me from 8pm till midnight so I just got up and heading home. But besides that I would definitely stay again. We plan on coming back next year again and hope to stay there again!

Beautiful house in awesome location!

The house is in a great location for exploring all that Uptown New Orleans has to offer. The place was clean and had plenty of space for all of us. Walking distance to tons of bars and restaurants and a short drive or Uber ride to plenty more.
