Beautiful home in a quaint little town

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this house when we visited Rhinebeck in connection with our son's wedding in Claremont historic site in Sept this year. This place is located close to the town and it's ideal for short stays for small families. Nonetheless, we wish one more bath room available 😃

Owner's Response: Thanks, very much, for the good review. I'm so glad you enjoyed you stay at the house! I agree that the place would be much nicer with an additional bathroom -- especially since it has three bedrooms. We are working on that and hope to add another bathroom some day soon. Thanks, Again, Trish

Missing some inexpensive amenities.

  • 3 of 5

Could have supplied more than 1 roll of toilet paper for 6 guests and a bar of soap in shower. Bathroom also had no handtowels and only 3 wash cloths. Hangers in closets were very sparse. House could use more. Also I expected the beds to be made up. Instead we had to rummage in the linen closet to find sheets that fit. Ended up with a king size set on the queen sized bed. This was our first experience renting this type of home, maybe we just expected to much?

Pretty Neighborhood

  • 3 of 5

Overall, this is a nice house---good neighborhood, well stocked kitchen, clean. The negatives---no a/c in the third bedroom, a too small a/c in the living/dining area, and no backyard table and chairs to hang or enjoy morning coffee. I've made suggestions to the owner who says she will definitely make these improvements.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your suggestions, Jacqueline! Since you left, we have painted the front porch and the tool shed in the back yard. We added a table and chairs to the back yard and it really does look good. Of course, the outdoor seating remains on the front porch, but now guests can choose between sitting in the front or the back of the house. I'll post pictures in the next week or so. Thanks, Again, Trish

Easter Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our recently stay was delightful, the property was clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen to prepare our meals. The location was great, a quite neighborhood with a 10-15 minute walk to town. Many historic homes to tour in the area, we went to Mills Mansion only 5 miles away. Our son lives in NYC and we live upstate so it was a perfect meeting place, easily assessable by train for him. Very comfortable for 6 people, would love to return.
