Photos and Description of this James Creek holiday lodge

6 Bedroom, 4.5 Bath Cabin Style Luxury Lodge With Modern Amenities

Our home was built in 2008 and purchased by my family in 2015. We have spent a great deal of time here to get to know the area. Additionally, we are dedicated to adding improvements each year so it is guaranteed to get even better!

This home is strategically placed high up on the mountain overlooking Lake Raystown Resort just around the corner of Shy Beaver Boat Launch/Inlet. It includes 67 acres to enjoy with a 2 acre lawn for family games/activities. Whether enjoying the fire pit or hot tub overlooking the lake, or custom horseshoe pits, or just simply bird/game watching, our property will provide plenty of opportunities for recreation.

An incredible view of the Lake is visible from nearly the entire house, firepit area, and hot tub. The property boasts one of the few usable lawns at nearly 2 acres level ground that would be perfect for medium-sized events/ photos etc. From the property there is direct access to walking/running/mountain biking/hiking trails without leaving the grounds.

We are conveniently located about a mile from the nearest boat launch. Arrangements for storage can be made if bringing a boat. Rentals are available at Lake Raystown Resort just a few minutes away.

Special accommodations, kitchen items, child needs, and furniture can be arranged by letting the owners know.

Renter must be 26 years old to book. Maximum number of occupants is 20 unless special arrangements are made.

Linens and towels are included for your convenience! No need to pack such bulky items for travel.

About Mike Gentry

The owners, Mike and Brandi, have three young children. We love boating, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and riding our side-by-side UTV on our property. We absolutely love it here!

Mike Gentry purchased this lodge in 2015

Why Mike Gentry chose Pennsylvania

I grew up in the local area and have visited Raystown Lake my whole life. I know the Lake area very well and in recent years learned of the exclusive homes available with lakeviews on the bluff next to Shy Beaver; we began our search here. Our search ended when we found the Eagle Mountain Lodge. What a wonderful and peaceful place!

What makes this lodge unique

From the property is an unparalleled view with plenty of space to roam. Bedrooms are spacious so sleeping arrangements aren't cramped.

A little piece of heaven in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space yet all be together. We enjoyed the beautiful decks where we sat and soaked in the breathtaking views, the hot tub, and the fire pit. The best part is the house was fully equipped with everything we needed! It was amazing, and we hope to come back soon.

5 Star/ 5 Diamonds Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

The Eagle Mountain Lodge has it all! Each themed nature room has incredible attention to detail with comfortable, sumptuous furniture and bedding. Every thing needed has been provided, and everything is clean and new and as comfortable as home. The owners have thought of everything and are willing to share their piece of paradise. Our sincere thanks to them for their thoughtfulness! The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular from all points in the house. Choose the swing, the glider, the deck chairs, the kitchen table, the outside dining table, the comfy couch, the rocking chairs - no matter where, the scenery and comfort will be incredible. Eagle Mountain Lodge has bedrooms, beds, baths, and seating for a large group. The huge, grassy front yard has plenty of room for family fun and games, and the games are even provided! Choose Eagle Mountain Lodge to relax and recharge in beautiful surroundings. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful home in a secluded peaceful area

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about how fantastic my weekend at the Eagle Mountain Lodge was. The house itself is beautiful - the view of the lake below is spectacular, the house has character and is stocked with anything you might need, and there is a beautiful and secluded lawn with a firepit and hottub. During our stay we rented boats on Raystown lake and spent a day exploring nature in the area. The owner was extremely responsive and kind as well. One example of this was our party wanted to order a Pay-Per-View show one evening, so we texted him when he was at a wedding and he immediately responded and said it was okay! He also gave us tips on things to do in the area before we came and was prompt in returning the security deposit. I would recommend this house to anybody!

Unforgettable Home in a Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

Our group just returned from a long weekend at Eagle Lodge and have nothing but positive reviews. The description, including pictures of the lodge, is 100% accurate. After coming to Raystown Lake for several years now, we have never experienced it from the "top" and what a lasting impression it had on all of us. We had a party of 19, which included 11 adults and 8 kids that ranged in age from less than a year up to 10 years and each and everyone one of us were blown away by the lodge. The view from both the inside and outside living spaces was simply breath taking. The house was modern with a mountain-rustic feel and attention from the owners to every little detail from cleanliness to decor. The house had more than enough space for our large group with three large indoor communal gathering areas (kitchen/dining area, first floor living room and lower level living room) as well as various outdoor gathering areas including the upper deck, covered lower level patio area and all the surrounding grounds. Families were able to have their own space with each bedroom being a decent size with plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another with amply closet space (including hangers!). The house literally comes with everything you could possibly need on vacation from linens to bath towels and every kitchen type of utensil sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond! Some extra special features included: a second refrigerator in the garage (huge help with a big group); plenty of firewood, including starters; cleaning supplies; laundry detergent, binoculars for bird watching and ample (paved) parking for many vehicles. The location near the Shy Beaver boat launch was a huge positive as we were able to shuffle ppl on and off the boat all day long without investing a lot of time driving from the house to the launch. Last but not least, the owner Mike was incredibly responsive to all our questions throughout the booking process, planning of our trip and actual stay. Mike responded to questions almost immediately and we never felt like we were left in the dark about what we needed to bring, the area and specific questions regarding the lodge and Raystown area. We have always enjoyed our family trips to Raystown but this trip definitely stands out above the rest. We hope we never get that view of out of our heads!

The grandkids said it best, "This house is magical." When you have three generations who all rave about the fabulous time they had, I can't give it a higher recommendation.

The house is beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture, quality linens and kitchen items. There are many seating areas so you can be with the group or alone reading a book. The yard, the grill, the fire pit, the hot tub - so much to do.

The marina was excellent and the beaches perfect for small children. The style of the house makes you feel you are in Colorado or the Adirondacks, but without the plane or car ride.

What everyone will miss is THE VIEW. My family asks,"when are we going back?"
