House Rules: Since my passion is traveling around, staying at other holiday apartments or Hotels to compare and improve my own apartments, my aim is to create a beautiful but also practical accommodation to secure a memorable experience for my guests while staying in London.
My apartments are charming and all of them are located in the heart of the city - to conveniences such as tube station, international restaurants, grocery stores, touristic highlights, etc.
Me and my team know the details of each apartment, from the nuances of entering, to the best way to get there from the airport.
We personally stock each apartment with dishes, glasses, utensils and pots and pans so that when you go to open a bottle of wine there is a corkscrew waiting for you in the drawer!
Your check-in time starts from about 2:30 pm whereas your check-out time will be at about 10:30 am. We always try to be flexible with these procedures, please inquire if we might offer a later check out or an earlier check in.
Please respect that we only accept the number of guests the apartment was booked for.
Please switch off lights, air-conditioning and all appliances when you leave the apartment to avoid wasting energy. only for Asia The AC's are working efficiently and you won't feel hot in summer after a couple of minutes.
Please ensure that the windows and doors are locked when you left the apartment.
Please respect your neighbors as you live in a normal building with normal tenants. For example keep the noise level down from 10:00 PM till 8 AM and be nice if you meet someone in the hall or in the lift.
Pets are not allowed in our apartments. Additionally, we do not allow smoking in the apartment.
Please do not hesitate to call your guest manager when you need assistance.
THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE SKYFALL APARTMENT ON BLOOMSBURY STREET!
Three days prior to my trip to London, I was informed that the Story Time apartment had been severely damaged by the prior group of renters. My reservation was changed to the SKYFALL apartment, which apparently is very close to the other apartment.
First, the entire experience of meeting someone at the apartment was poorly managed. Why? The information I was given clearly was written by a non-native English speaker. If I had been told to actually ring the apartment from street level instead of waiting at the entrance door to the building, then I would have saved 45 minutes waiting outside for someone to appear. Turns out the "guest manager" was inside the apartment the entire time. She claims to have sent me a text message on my mobile phone, but it was never received.
Second, while the apartment is clean and the beds and whatnot are o.k., the noise level from the street is unbearable at night. I realize that I was visiting a big city, but even with double windows, the roar of double-decker buses, garbage truck, sirens, and drunken people chatting it up on the sidewalks below at all hours of the night made what seemed like a great and convenient location almost intolerable. If you choose the SKYFALL apartment, bring ear plugs or noise-cancelling headphones.
Third, and most troubling. I was reassured by host Melanie S. that someone would be at the apartment to return my cash security deposit at an agreed-upon time the morning of my departure. I had left a Euros deposit with the first "guest manager", and she had no problem taking my money. The value of the deposit I gave actually is more than what is required in GBP. 15 minutes past the agreed-upon time, I sent Melanie a message through this site, asking where the person was and when they would arrive. There was no answer. After 30 minutes, I phoned the "direct" local number she had given me. The connection was absolutely horrible, and I understood only about every fourth or fifth word she spoke. The words I heard were bank and 15 minutes. I waited an additional 15 minutes, and still nobody showed. By then, I had to leave for the airport. I am now two days back from my London trip, and I have yet to receive my security deposit.
BOTTOM LINE: noisy apartment best avoided, terrible communication with host, concerns about trustworthiness of this business interaction with money still on the table that I wonder if I will ever...
This was a beautiful flat in a great location.
A lovely apartment in a quiet street with cafes and american diner close by. Centrally located and very spacious. Melanie and her welcome team were very helpful and friendly. A great place to stay which was exceptionally clean and comfortable.
We could not be better received for our weekend in London. Melanie and her team were perfect (always available and very pleasant before and during the trip ) . Moreover we were upgraded to a larger apartment but in the same style as this one and everything was like the pictures . Do not hesitate to book your vacation with them !
