Perfect accomodations for our first trip to Chiang Mai
My wife and I along with our son and his girlfriend stayed in this well-decorated townhouse in the Old City. Richard, the owner, had his driver pick us up at the airport and met us at the house to greet us and show us around. He emailed us two days into our stay to make sure everything was all right. We had maid service twice during our visit. We especially enjoyed the kitchen which was well-equipped to practice making the Thai dishes we had learned from our cooking class. The town home is located far enough from a main street to be quiet but convenient to a busy street with many red taxis. We were very satisfied with our lodging and would book there again.

Staying at Richards home was spectacular. The attention to detail is amazing. The home was spacious and central with all needed amenities. Fruits basket waiting for us. He even dropped off fresh baked bread in the morning. Communication was great. Pick up and drop off at airport were a plus. Thank you Richard for taking such good care of us. When visiting Chiang Mai again, we will definitely stay with you.
The location is perfect and the apartment is amazingly refurbished and decorated with an eclectic collection of paintings and objects that attract and amuse. The apartment has a full kitchen (including espresso machine), and laundry (you have to be fairly slim to get in there), good wifi, even a printer that was useful for printing boarding passes. There is plenty of room to lounge and a dining table. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, air conditioning works well, including the downstairs area. There are heaps of attractions and food options within walking distance and tuk-tuks for longer journeys. For the less mobile, the metal stairs to the bedroom floor are fairly steep and unevenly spaced at the top, but that's the only potential negative. Richard is an amazing host, arranging pick-up and return to the airport, providing useful information and even dropping off a fresh baguette one morning at breakfast time.
It's honestly hard to wrap up why our experience at Richard's place was so amazing. Richard and his tuk tuk driver met us at the airport to escort us to the apartment. It was the first time we didn't have to figure out how to navigate a new city from the airport and lifted a huge stress off of our shoulders. Richard showed us around the incredibly decorated apartment, shared some local fruits with us, gave us a few pointers on what to do/see, and even left us a phone with local service for our stay. The location of the apartment is second to none. You're exactly where you want to be in Chiang Mai. The old city has amazing charm... great for walking around and exploring on foot. If you need to get out of the old city tuk tuks are available at all times. It's also a location that is easy access for pickups if you're using a tour service. Richard is a 5 star host, don't miss out on the opportunity to stay here! We'll be back Richard! :o)
Richard was a gold star host! He had a ride waiting for us at the airport and he met us as we arrived to the house, showed us around, got us settled and recommended great places to eat and visit. He met us the last day also and hailed us a cab to the airport. We had a great time chatting with him and getting to know him! Richard was easy to contact and he responded very quickly by email anytime I had questions, before our trip and during it as well! The condo was amazing. It was exactly as pictured on the website and honestly it was bigger than I expected. The decor was way cool and there was a great amount of space for three of us. Super clean place and well kept up. The beds were really comfy - we all commented on how well we slept on them. The location is perfect-- everything in the Old City is walkable and/or a quick, cheap cab ride. There are amazing places to eat all over the city and we found plenty near the property! Bonus-- Richard provided cards with a map for us to give the taxi so we could get back. There are so many wonderful things to say-- overall, Richard is a wonderful host, he's available and he loves the city he lives in-- the house -- not one complaint! We fell in love with Chiang Mai thanks to Richard's love and enthusiasm for the city he lives in!
Best host I've ever had for a homestay. Richard was so busy with all of his properties on the first evening of Songkran, but made time to come personally get us from the airport (two separate trips). Property was even cooler in person than the pictures could describe. Richard made sure our every need was taken care of and constantly checked up with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. Provided lots of maps, suggestions and advice and really made our exceptional. On the last day he showed up with croissants and made sure our transportation back to the airport was all set. Awesome stay!
