5/5 Submitted by Niagara Smart stays on clients behalf

My family and I stayed at Fallsview Family Home during Easter long weekend. We couldn’t have been more happier with our stay – everything was perfect or near perfect. Location is great, about a 10-15 minute walk to Fallsview Casino, and the house was spacious and had everything we needed. A couple things to note: the dining table only has seating for four so you might want to bring a couple spare fold up chairs if you have a large group. And the bunk bed was not the most comfiest if you’re an adult, it’s definitely better suited for kids. Otherwise, all the other amenities are provided, the house was clean, and we would definitely stay here again when we’re back in Niagara.

Nice stay for our family

  • 3 of 5

Amenities could have been better. Take toilet paper, only what's left on roll is provided. The laundry area is not available as it is locked in basement. I've never had to purchase garbage bags or toilet paper on a vacation before. Overall, though, it was a pleasant enough stay. Just bumping up the amenities would be nice and more convenient for the vacationer.

Pretty good as long as you don't like to sleep.

The property was nice and the place was clean. It was new feeling and we loved the open concept. Location was fantastic and close to the falls. However, we wouldn't stay here again because of the following reasons:

1. Listing boasted a dishwasher. However it was out of order. We did not want to waste our precious minutes of holidays hand-washing all our dishes. Not that we weren't capable but it was a disappointment.

2. The listing mentioned a washer and dryer (in January 2017). This was a huge draw as we have a potty training toddler and find ourselves doing a lot of extra laundry lately. No washer and dryer to be found.

3. The second bedroom (not the master, and not the one with bunk beds), had the absolute WORST mattress in the entire world. It was so unbelievably hard that sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable. Which my husband and I actually considered. I don't mind a firm mattress but seriously it was the worst three nights of sleep ever. I got more sleep when my daughter was an infant and up every two hours. Seriously.

It's too bad about the negatives.... the dishwasher and washer/dryer wouldn't have been such a disappointment if the ad was correct. However, they were a factor in choosing this property to begin with. And the mattress was a dealbreaker. It's unfortunate, because everything else about the house was great! The company was also great to work with and very available every time I called.

We stayed here for 4 nights in February 2017

Nice stay

  • 4 of 5

House was clean and well arranged in overall. It is close to Niagara falls(guess around 30min on foot). We used car as we had little ones. There was wego bus station so it would be another option.

Few suggestions I would comment on the house... 1) The black reclining couch was aged and the skin of it was all over the places in the living room. It would be better if it is replaced or removed. 2) Few burbs at Kitchen are out so it was a bit dark. Living room is also a bit dark so I brought lamps on upstairs down to make the space brighter. 3) BBQ grill is not very clean. Didn't use it. 4) Back yard is not well maintained. These things didn't bother us too much but it would be much much happier stay for the people coming next.

Thanks to Emily who helped me out for the reservation.

working with this company was great . Emily was always avaible to answer my questions .

The house was nice . I would suggest that they replace some on the living room furniture and the down stairs carpet . Everything else was completely remodeled and very clean .

Outstanding natural walking, cycling, bird watching, running paths. Ask about our local wildlife sanctuaries. Outdoor events, attractions, festivals are year round. Award winning wineries and fantastic outlet shopping. There's plenty to see and do and leave you wanting to come back for more.
