Relax on your private deck with beautiful views of San Diego Bay, the downtown skyline, Coronado Island, and the nearby mountains. Where else can you have lovely sunrises and watch the sunset reflected off the skyline from the same deck chair? And YES, all the view photos shown in our listing are taken from our (your) patio deck! The 3rd picture is actually a series of four 360 degree panoramas - use your mouse to zoom around. Parking is spacious, easy, and free, usually right in front!

Our home is located less than 10 minutes from the airport, Shelter Island, Harbor Island, downtown, and EASY walking distance to restaurants, shops, yoga, and the bay. Many guests tell us how much they enjoy being able to do so much without having to get in a car! Watch the fighter jets take off from North Island and frequent sail boat races. You can see the hills of Balboa Park where the San Diego Zoo is located. Sea World is 15 minutes around the corner. The border is 25 minutes to the south. The lights in Mexico are visible at night from your deck! Walk over to buy fresh fish from Point Loma Seafood. Stop by the Jennings House Cafe for breakfast in the morning. Or skip all that and enjoy one of HarborTown's 17 beers on tap.

Your cozy apartment with private entrance and private deck includes everything you'll need for making your San Diego vacation a most memorable experience. The kitchenette is newly remodeled and the queen bed is very comfortable. We think you will be most comfortable with two people but please inquire if you have need for a 3rd guest. Parking is free, easy, and usually right in front. You may be visited by our friendly cats from time to time.

Your hosts, Kelle and Dave, live just above and will be on hand, when needed, to answer any questions and provide recommendations for the many activities and sights San Diego has to offer. When we are home we're pretty quiet so you will hardly know we're here. If you want to take it easy and save money, don't rent a car and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is a path along the water that is very nice at night. We often walk down there. Overall, we think we have the best value in all of Pt Loma. Great view and nice neighborhood

We loved our short stay in this quiet neighborhood with a fabulous view of the city. Great restaurants are just a short walk away, and it's an easy drive to downtown and Coronado Island. The apartment is small, but had everything we needed. Like others, we particularly enjoyed the patio. The hosts went above and beyond to look after us, with great communication, local information and welcome wine - even though they were dealing with personal issues and travel at the time of our stay. The steep steps might be an issue if you have lots of luggage or mobility problems, but we felt the area was safe enough that we could leave a few things in the car.

Million dollar view

a smart clever!y designed two room apartment with a gorgeous patio overlooking Shelter Island. The picture tells you everything you need to know. We loved the location. A perfect set up for a week at least. We didn't do much cooking but the mini kitchen is well equipped! No complaints at all.

Lovely view!

We had a nice time but the weather was a little of a damper on our parade! Very well stocked with amenities- even a wine chiller in the freezer for my white! There are stairs but not took them flow and they were fine. Next time we’ll get to use the deck more!

Great views

This property was in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown and the airport. Our favorite part was the terrace that had a great view of the city. Dave the host was friendly, responsive and accomodating..

Kelle and I met on-line in 2023 and found out within days that we were the life-partners we have both hoped we might find one day. We've been inseparable since.

In 2011 I bought this home in Point Loma with my now ex-wife, Toni, with whom I remain friends. I credit her for the layout and furnishings in the apartment. When she and I first stood on the deck and looked out at the same view you will have, we knew this was the home we both wanted. She spent the first year remodeling and making the apartment into a warm, inviting, comfortable place to live and share with the many new friends who will be coming to vacation with us.

I have traveled to a number of wonderful destinations and often use home rental sites to find a place to stay rather than the sterile confines of a hotel. Everyone I've met has been very gracious and friendly, and that is what you can expect from Kelle and me. I am retired and am usually available for questions.

When Kelle and I are home we're pretty quiet so you will hardly know we're here. You're likely to see more of our cat than us!

Why they chose this property

No where else we know of can you have the rich mix of views, quiet and serene, walk-to places (restaurants, beaches, walks along the water, bars, pharmacy). And we''re only minutes away from the San Diego Zoo, downtown, Ocean Beach, Coronado, San Diego Airport, USS Midway, Sea World, Balboa Park.

What makes this property unique

You have your own private deck with views that you'll never have from local hotels. You can eat at a different restaurant every night for two weeks and they're all good! You'll never pay for parking because it's residential and free. Or skip the car rental because Uber and Lyft will be here in a few minutes to take you wherever you need to go.
