About this property

On Crosslake in the Village,120' Beach, Dock, Two Boat Lifts, 3 Kayaks, Sunsets

Our family lake cabin is in one of the most desirable locations on the "Whitefish Chain" of Lakes, on the east shore of Crosslake near the Crosslake Dam and Corp of Engineers Campground, less than 2 minutes to the village, grocery stores and shopping.

You'll see the most amazing sunsets, beautiful views of the lake and islands. You'll enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, cruising all 14 lakes, and visiting restaurants by boat. There are several golf courses nearby, along with bike trails, our local 14 Lakes Brewery and Putt Putt Golf. It's always a joy to rest and relax at Peaceful Pines, watching the beautiful sunsets, the call of the Loons and the majestic Eagles soaring right from your deck!

We're located only 2 minutes from Reeds Ggrocery store, gas stations, restaurants, bait shops, Wine and Spirits shops, Ace Hardware, Golfing, the Crosslake Dam & The Corp of Engineers Campgrounds. You are centrally located in Village of Crosslake, in a quiet family neighborhood that is just a 2 minute walk from the Crosslake Dam and Campgrounds. This is where the nearest boat launch ramp is located.
"Peaceful Pines" with it's beautiful views of the lake, the 120’ sandy beach and sandy lake bottom all the way out to the end of the dock! You'll love experiencing the amazing sunsets with a glass of wine or a Micro-brew from "14 Lakes Brewery" or a fire in one of the two fire pits or maybe sitting on the large deck or in the yard on the wooden picnic table. Wherever you choose to relax it's a great vacation home for families and friends to get a way to enjoy the relaxing “lake life” while creating lasting memories.

Our Cabin is located on 2 wooded acres with plenty of parking for boat trailers and several cars. There is a vinyl/aluminum boat docks with a 2,500-pound boat lift that’s great for smaller fishing boats or our larger 5,000-pound pontoon boat lift. For those early mornings when the lake is like glass, we have 3 kayaks that are included for your family’s enjoyment.

Our home has a spacious family room upstairs with a large 12' long picture window overlooking the lake. There's a queen size sofa-sleeper bed with a memory foam mattress, along with 2 very comfortable Lazy-Boy rocker recliner chairs, 2 ottomans and a beautiful wood burning stone fireplace. The family room has a 50" flat screen TV, with Hulu, Roku and Amazon Prime for your watching enjoyment. There's also a DVD player and several DVD movies included.

In the family room there's a large over-sized wall A/C unit to cool the upstairs on those warm humid days. This room is the perfect relaxation spot after a fun day on the lake of fishing, boating and water skiing on the Whitefish Chain!

The kitchen is open to the dining area, there’s a refrigerator, glass top electric range, microwave oven and dishwasher, the countertop is granite tiled, with maple cabinets and a closet pantry.

The dining room has an 8' wide Anderson sliding glass door to allow for views of the lake while you’re enjoying a family meal, it also brings in lots of natural light. The table has 2 leaves and can seat up to 8 people. The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, serving dishes, cups, glasses, small kitchen appliances, cutting knives, steak knives, blender, crock pot, electric frying pan and all the utensils you would need. In the closet there's 4 folding chairs for additional seating.

In addition to the kitchen there’s also a kitchenette in the lower walk-out level with a refrigerator/freezer, sink, microwave oven, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, and flatware. The second refrigerator is very handy for your beverages, "Lake Snacks", sandwiches and storing large bags of ice for your entertaining and boating needs.

The master bedroom is located downstairs with another sliding glass door that offers beautiful views of the lake and a large walk out patio area. Each morning you'll wake up with t beautiful views of the lake. This room has a newer king size mattress, a dresser, chest of drawers, flat screen TV, a small walk-in closet, luggage racks and a sliding barn door for privacy.

Downstairs there are 2 bathrooms, a larger full bathroom with a tub/shower combination, vanity & toilet, a half bath right inside the lower entry door, for those quick trips from the lake.

In addition to the master bedroom downstairs, we added children’s bunk beds in the kitchenette area, it’s perfect for a family with young kids.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, the lake front bedroom has a double/full size bed, and the south bedroom has a queen size bed. There's a bathroom located between the 2 bedrooms upstairs that has a shower, sink and toilet. Both bedrooms have window A/C units.

Between the garage and Kitchen there’s a laundry room with a washer/dryer, utility sink and storage shelves for towels or pantry items.

The lake front of the house has a large deck that looks out over Crosslake, the deck runs the entire length of the house for those great views of the 2 islands, the lake, and sunsets. We have a patio table with 6 matching chairs, umbrella, and several extra stacking chairs for extra guest. The deck is the perfect place for those family BBQ meals while on vacation or "Happy Hour” cocktails while you're watching the amazing sunsets!

In the yard overlooking the lake, there's a large 8' long wooden picnic table and a wood burning fire pit (firewood is included) along with market lights for those evening "Bonfires" and roasting marshmallows for S'mores. There's at least a dozen lawn chairs for any guest who may visit.

Looking out to the lake, there's a screened in gazebo that houses a 3 burner Weber Geneses gas grill (propane is included) and a Weber Kettle charcoal grill. You can cook outside even if it's raining! There's also a ceiling light along with electricity for charging your cell phones and using the electric frying pan to fry your catch of the day.

For those wonderful warm summer nights, we have a fire pit on our sandy beach too, where you can watch the stars and look for the Northern Lights. There's plenty of split firewood on site for your use while staying at Peaceful Pines in the covered woodshed near the garage.

All these amenities will make for a wonderful Up-North lake vacation that will give you and your family many great memories of your vacation stay on Crosslake.

All you need to bring is your food, clothes & toiletries!

We also have our living quarters next door and we'll be there most of the summer to help with any questions or concerns you might have.

Great for the Whole Family!
We stayed at Peaceful Pines for a week with my husband's family. We brought people from ages 11-77, and each enjoyed our time at this PRISTINELY maintained cabin! The kids loved kayaking, my mother-in-law had plenty of quiet places to read, and we loved all the fun activities there were to do both at the cabin and in town! The lake is extremely clear, with a sandy bottom and no weeds! Close to restaurants by boat or car (or walking, for that matter!). Everything you can think of for entertainment is there; Craig and Valerie thought of it all. Our entire family definitely recommends spending a week at Peaceful Pines! We made the best memories!

Perfect Crosslake cabin for our family
Our family of 10 had a wonderful week at the cabin. Very clean, with everything we could ever need in the kitchen. Very nice deck overlooking the lake with table and chairs which extends the dining area. Very nice fire pit area, Plenty of chairs there as well. The kids loved making s’mores almost nightly. Very nice sandy beach that all enjoyed as well. Don’t let the fact the property owner lives on the property as well. Great folks, and very helpful. Simply put we really can’t say anything negative about this property. We are looking forward to booking it again for next year. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your cabin. Sincerely, Mark and Kay

Beautiful clear lake and great location
The lake water was so clear and a beautiful! The swimming area was pretty much all sandy bottoms. We spent tons of time on the water and kids played in the sand right by the lake too. This cabin is in a great location, so close to shops, grocery store, liquor stores, and restaurants. The cabin is fully stocked with any and everything you would need. The only minor thing is there is no ac in the basement but did stay cool enough with lots of fans going.

Beautiful cabin! Fun and relaxing weekend!
We had such a great stay at this cabin. The grounds were very well kept and the house very clean. They really have everything you would want to have at the cabin - kayaks, paddle boat, tons of water floaties and noodles and lots of beach towels! We were able to use the powerboat lift for our fishing boat which was great and also there was enough space on the long dock to tie up our pontoon. The beach was very clean with a nice sandy bottom. The firepit up by the house was stacked with firewood for our first fire. The view was absolutely beautiful watching the sunset over the water while up at the fire pit. The owners were great! They are super friendly and available if anything came up. The location was perfect - a quick 5 minute car ride to the grocery store, but the cabin also was tucked back in the woods where there was no road traffic noise. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a cabin up in the Crosslake area.

About the host

Hosted by Craig & Valerie Lindholm

Host profile image
The Lindholm family has been coming up to Crosslake since 1948 and have spent a portion of every summer for over 70 years enjoying quality lake time with our family and friends.

We are pleased to be able to share this special magical place with others who will find this beautiful area as relaxing, fun and special as we do.

It's the perfect getaway home to create lasting memories with your family, relatives and friends.

Why they chose this property

We purchased our cabin in 1998 from a long time family friend so we could be close to our parents and friends in the area. Crosslake was the only location we even considered, because Craig grew up spending summers here, as did our children and grandchild. We love that it's such a wonderfully friendly community with lots of events on the weekends.
Crosslake and it's village are main hub of the 14 connected Whitefish Chain of Lakes.

What makes this property unique

"Crosslake" is the main lake of the "Whitefish Chain of Lakes" located in the village of Crosslake. There are a total of 14 lakes within the Whitefish Chain of Lakes, with Crosslake being the most desirable because of it's size and location so close to the village.

The Village of Crosslake is known for it's quaint community, wonderful lake experiences, good restaurants, fun shops and "MN Nice" up north people. You'll find our location is one of the best on Crosslake and the entire White Fish Chain. We have a large 120' x 70' wide sandy swimming area with a 120' long sandy beach with a gentle increase in water depth and easy access to any of the other lakes you want to visit.

It's the perfect play-place for young kids, it's shallow, sandy and fun!

We're located approximately 2.75 hours drive north from the Minneapolis Airport and only 30 minutes north east of Brainerd/Baxter Airport.

A quick 25 minute Delta Airlines flight to Brainerd from Minneapolis.
