Blue Water Vista sleeps up to six in the quiet comfort of over two wooded acres on Madeline Island's South Shore. The home offers two bedrooms, two full baths, fireplace, screened porch, wrap-around deck, plus full kitchen, dining area and a commanding view of Lake Superior and surrounding Apostle Islands.

Unless you plan to dine out (there are several very good restaurants on the island and nearby Bayfield) you can bring provisions and cook meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Wine, a great cup of coffee and Marie’s signature cinnamon rolls can be purchased at Mission Hill Coffee in downtown La Pointe.

Blue Water Vista is on South Shore Drive about 2.5 miles from the La Pointe ferry landing . It is a nice bike ride into town. Blue Water Vista is also very close to the Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course and the marina.

Stunning views and cute house.

  • 4 of 5

Madeline Island was a peaceful retreat. The house was in a quiet and beautiful location. Difficult to locate property at night so extra signage would be helpful. Beach towels would be helpful for boating excursions and visits to Big Bay. Maybe a drying rack or outside line for wet towels and/or clothes. We had a great time!

Great, quiet spot

  • 4 of 5

We had 4 adults staying and had a great time even with rain each day. Everything was clean and organized. Kitchen is, indeed, well stocked. We could have done with a couple more bath towels and the cool weather and high humidity didn’t allow for things to dry entirely. Reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the mattresses. The mattress in master is very, very firm. The mattress in the second bedroom is springing and seems old and very used. We both woke with back pain each morning. Outside of the mattresses - we had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic! Very clean and had everything we needed!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was just wonderful, facility was very clean and bigger than we expected. The whole place was freshly mown, grill was all set up and ready to use and the screened in porch was newly furnished! Cabin owners were awesome to work with.

Charming!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful place to escape the world and enjoy the seclusion of Lake Superior! The only improvement would be a more comfortable sofa on the screen porch and a functional wifi password. Frankly I was fine with the wifi but a traveling companion was "disappointed." The cabin was well maintained, nicely furnished and I will return!

Relaxing and just what was needed...

  • 4 of 5

The cabin had just about everything you needed. Full kitchen, bathrooms and beds to crash on. The view was beautiful. The island was AMAZING! We brought our bikes on our car across with the ferry. Bought groceries at the market made breakfasts and dinners at the cabin and dined out at the many different venues for lunch. The Beach Club has an amazing Fish Chowder & and an even better Bootlegger drink! Did the 6-hour boating and kayaking excursion through the local tour company and had a blast and then tie-dyed shirts in the beach shop after our tour to commemorate the event. REQUEST NICK for a Tour Guide! Next day, biked 4-5 miles to the state park and hiked along the shores all the way to the beach. Gorgeous! Came back at night for campfires, cocktails & music. Went to Tom’s Burnt Down Bar and stayed for a few! Stayed 3 nights but all said we could’ve used an extra day or two just to explore more. What a neat little hidden gem! Thanks Barbara!!!! We will treasure those memories forever.
