Great house for a group
Great house for a group of old college friends in their 50s who'd come to town on the heels of a football game. Lots of room. Super clean. Really well outfitted and comfortable furniture. Plenty of room, too, so nobody was on top of anybody else. So nice to have snacks. And great communication with Beth. Thanks for a great stay.

Outstanding
I would need more than this little box to do Beth justice. But I will say that, in short, the place is welcoming, perfectly decorated, clean, convenient, and feels like a real home. Thank you so much for all of the small touches and communication. I wish you ran these all over the country! A+

Lovely getaway
We had a wonderful stay at the Sumac Inn for a multi-generational family vacation! The house is full of character and beautifully decorated, and is well set up for visitors. We found snacks and some staples in the kitchen to get us started and even fresh flowers, which were a wonderful gift. With 4 kids ranging from 3 to 14 years old, there was something for all to enjoy, from the basement setup to the backyard. In terms of location, there were sidewalks for walks around the beautiful neighborhood, attractions like Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods only about 15 minutes away, and a large assortment of restaurants just a few minutes away. All in all a wonderful experience.

Best VRBO ever
This house was perfect for a large group of us attending a family reunion. We were amazed at how well-stocked the place was and all the thoughtful touches that were included. The host, Beth, provided fresh flowers, fruit, plentiful snacks, eggs and bacon, oj, milk, yogurt, coffee, chocolates! There were serving dishes and scissors and tape and ziploc bags and plenty of extra pillows and towels, games and books and comfortable chairs - you name it, the house had it. All my communications with Beth were a pleasure! Highly recommend! One small FYI - it's an older house, so light sleepers might want to pack earplugs to guard against the creaky floorboards if you've got people moving around at night. The house also had two small fans that a couple of us used effectively for white noise.

I am the Mom of two sweet kids, a house designer, consultant and real estate broker.

I love being with my family, whether I'm cooking a favorite meal, reading together, watching old movies together or working on a project. Family is my greatest pleasure.

I grew up in Colorado Springs' Old North End and know just about every nook and cranny of this awesome city.

Why they chose this property

Colorado Springs has attractive features unlike anywhere else.

Many know that Colorado Springs is home to Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center, Broadmoor Hotel and so forth, but the character and thought that were given to this great city by its founders can only be experienced - not described by its land marks. The broad avenues and tree-lined streets of the Old North End are a perfect example.

The climate, outdoor activities, and year-round, natural beauty make it a wonderful place to vacation any time of the year.

What makes this property unique

I chose this home because of it's beauty, character and versatility. From the curved front staircase to the adorable half-story bedrooms, it is not only charming and unique, but holds a surprise in nearly every room.

As neat as the house is, the location is just as exceptional. You'll enjoy walking around the historic neighborhood under stately trees, admiring the variety of turn-of-the-century homes. (Be sure see Wood Avenue aka "Millionaire's row", just one block to the West. This is where many of the largest and oldest homes of the Springs are located.)

Wonderful parks, downtown, groceries and our favorite drive-in are all within walking or bicycling distance.
