About this property

Nambawan was completed in 1999 when the owners came to live here permanently. The flat is part of the main house although completely independent. There is under floor heating as the region can be chilly at night between November and April. WIFi connection is available throughout the flat.

The accommodation consists of a comfortable sitting room with English and French TV, a large double bedroom, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The ample modern kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker (gas and electric), three way oven( microwave/oven and grill), toaster, food processor and dishwasher. A washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board complete the set of household appliances.

The bedroom is equipped with two large single beds, which can be pushed together to become a Kingsize bed. Two bedside tables with reading lights provided and there is ample storing and hanging space. The view from the bedroom window is spectacular.

The bathroom is fully equipped with bath tub, shower, basin and WC.

From the sitting room a large French window opens on to the terrace, lawn and barbeque area. Guests have unlimited access to the swimming pool.

The flat is handed over immaculately cleaned. Bedlinen and towels are provided. For lets over a week, a special cleaning/maid service can be arranged upon request. There is enough linen available for guests to change it if and when desired. Saturday is not the compulsory arrival day. Alternative arrival and departure days can be arranged by mutual agreement.

The flat like the whole Nambawan house are designed for easy living and serve as a great base for exploring Provence and the Côte d’Azur. More than just a holiday flat or villa this is a proper home with all modern amenities and comfort.
The village of Seillans is 30 minutes from Cannes and Grasse and about 55 from Nice/Cote d'Azur airport. Golf, gliding, sailing and hillwalking are available nearby and there is easy access to skiing. This just means that whatever your interests are or what you are looking for you can have it all at Nambawan, whatever the season.
Just outside the village lies the beautiful Roman chapel of Notre Dame des Ormeaux, with its superb Renaissance altar-piece. The next village, Fayence, is home to one of the better known gliding clubs in Europe. Lake St. Cassien, 15 minutes away, offers excellent swimming, wind surfing etc. Easy day trips can be made to all the well known places and beaches along the Riviera: St. Tropez, St. Raphael, Antibes, Cannes,Nice, Monaco, les Gorges du Verdon etc. There are public tennis courts in the village. There are also some beautiful walks in the area and the skiing slopes of Greolieres, Isola and Val de l’Alos are easily accessible.

There are plenty of day trips to visit interesting places/sites in the region and a list of suggestions can be provided upon request.

Wunderbare Ferienwohnung bei supernetten Vermietern

Eine sehr schön gelegene Ferienwohnung, die mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man braucht. Tolle Aussicht vom Pool und vom Schlafzimmer auf Seillans und das ganze Tal. Auf der Terrasse im nach hinten gelegenen Gartenanteil kann man mit Blick auf den mediterranen Garten frühstücken oder bei einem Buch entspannen, bevor es wieder zu einer der zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten geht. Egal ob es sich um Städte der Cote d'Azur wie St. Tropez, Nizza oder Cannes handelt, Monaco, die Parfümstadt Grasse, der Badesee St. Cassien oder die atemberaubende Verdon-Schlucht, alles ist problemlos in Tagesausflügen zu machen und trotzdem ist man weg vom hektischen Trubel der Küste und hat zwischenzeitlich am herrlichen Pool wunderbar Ruhe. Das letzte Stückchen der Auffahrt zum Haus ist einspurig, aber problemlos machbar. Gute Restaurants und einen kleinen Supermarkt mit allem, was man braucht, erreicht man mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten. Unschlagbar sind die beiden Inhaber Coco und David, die super freundlich und hilfsbereit waren, ohne sich jemals aufzudrängen. Dass beide Englisch sprechen hat uns mit unseren geringen Französischkenntnissen die Kommunikation sehr erleichtert. Ein ganz großes Danke nochmal an die beiden für die schöne Zeit im Nambawan!

Très agréable, nous recommandons

Nous avons adoré notre séjour et le recommandons vivement ! La localisation de l'appartement est un point de départ parfait pour visiter la région.(lacs, gorges, randonnées, promenades, plages , villages magnifiques, musées, ateliers d'artistes, restaurants ,...)L'appartement en lui-même est super équipé et ne manque de rien. Les vues sont à couper le souffle peu importe l'endroit où l'on se trouve dans la propriété, j'ai adoré la vue sur le paysage qu'offre la piscine à débordement également,surtout en fin d'après midi, l'ambiance solaire y est si douce. David et Coco sont des hôtes adorables et ne manquerons pas de vous conseiller efficacement sur les environs et et les évènements a ne pas manquer durant votre séjour. Après quatre ans à venir dans la région , le gîte nambawan est bel et bien notre number one Nos sincères amitiés,Greyg et Marine

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour chez David et Coco au cœur de la Provence. Le logement est très charmant et rappelle l’authenticité de la région. Les propriétaires de la maison sont très gentils, pleins de bons conseils, la communication est très facile. L’emplacement permet à la fois de visiter les grandes villes de la Côte d’Azur comme Frejus, Cannes, Saint Tropez, Nice ou encore Saint Raphaël, mais aussi de parcourir les gorges du Verdon et les lacs qui s’y trouvent. La piscine offre une vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Merci encore pour ce séjour.

Wonderful views

We had a wonderful stay in David & Coco’s appartment just outside Seillans Really friendly and helpful hosts, we stayed in the pool with magnificent views on the village and overlooking the valley It is a true gem to visit. Highly recommended snd we’ll try hard to get back!

Très agréable séjour au calme et vue imprenable de la piscine. Temps estival pour un mois de mai.

Séjour parfait et très agréable, au calme, avec espace ombragé car nous avons eu un temps estival au mois de mai 34 degrés.Piscine à débordement avec très belle vue, sans vis à vis. Voisins très sympathiques en l’absence des propriétaires. Agréables ballades autour et dans les environs du lac.

David and Coco came to live in Nambawan after international careers when David retired from active work in 1999, the year the house was completed. The flat is part of the house but completely independent. David and Coco spend most of the year at Nambawan and the flat is used for holiday lets when not in use by them. The whole house is occasionally available for rent when they are away.

Why they chose this property

We came to this part of the world to visit friends and soon enough fell in love with the area. However, it was only after coming back several times that we decided this was indeed the right place for us to live: located in a rural but sophisticated area, where one can enjoy not only beautiful surroundings but a very rich and varied cultural life. Easy access to the second airport in France, to make communications with the rest of Europe and the world quite easy, and possibility even to conmute to work in any of the cities of the coast, as Coco did for several years. Most important of all, the area is home to a large number of expatriates of various nationalities, with whom we share a lot of interests and experiences.

What makes this property unique

There is no comparable view in the region... the location.. the inhabitants, the weather and the blue skies and bright sunlight even in the cold winter days. The house and flat are located in a secluded area and yet not isolated at all.
