Nice apartment, good location, only okay for long-term renters

I stayed here for roughly two months; it is a convenient location with easy access to a lot of DC without the hassle or expense of being & parking closer to downtown. The place could be slightly better set up for long-term renters like me. There were not cleaning supplies, other than a vacuum and broom. Some countertop and bath & tile cleaning spray would be nice to add. And though the kitchen itself is quite nice, the pans were in pretty rough shape. That said, this is a great place, especially for groups/families who are staying for a week or so.

Nice apartment for a short stay

The apartment was very nice. My kids liked the bunk beds in the smaller bedroom. I appreciated the decorations: the art by the owner's child was a very charming touch. I was a bit disappointed with the amenities: the stovetop didn't start properly (but the owner had provided a lighter to deal with this). This made cooking for ourselves tougher than expected, but it was great to have that available and not eat out every meal.

Nice, cozy apartment close to trail

My family of 5 stayed in this apartment for a little over a week while we were having work done on our house. It’s on the small side but better than staying in a hotel and everything was clean and tidy. It is in an older building but has been nicely remodeled. It’s nice that it is so close to Sligo Creek Trail - we enjoyed getting out for walks. Owner was very responsive.

Esp good location for our visits to neighborhood and Giant/bank/etc

better start for stove, Good but needs, pot holder, salt/pepper, needs dishwasher and towels, lock on laundry door, finish paint living room, wine opener, cotton sheets not synthetic material.

This is a family friendly, walkable, middle class neighborhood in the immediate suburb of Washington DC, consisting of single family houses and low rise apartments. Built mostly of brick in the late 50's and early 60's the neighborhood is charming and older looking but very safe. The property is easily accessible from the beltway and it is about a mile and half from downtown Silver Spring.
