About Jeanne Jackson

We are a family of four with two teenaged children that reside in Chester County Pennsylvania. We love the lifestyle that the Peninsula allows.

Jeanne Jackson purchased this townhome in 2008

Why Jeanne Jackson chose Delaware

We chose the Peninsula because it provides a wide variety of activities for children and adults in a beautiful, clean and safe environment. When we arrive there is little we need to find outside of the community. Once we enter the gates a sense of peace settles and we know that we are on vacation. Everyone at the Peninsula is genuinely happy to be there.

What makes this townhome unique

This bright roomy townhouse is very comfortable for relaxing and enjoying all the amenities available. It provides several areas of living space on its three levels. It is a convenient short walk or bike ride on the nearby path to the clubhouse and tennis courts. Throughout the year the club staff provides additional activities for all.

Perfect home and community for our family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay in this home, and second stay in the Peninsula. Fully enjoyed both. We visited the first week of August and had overall great weather. The townhouse was perfect for our family, 8 guests total, with room to spare. Although a townhome, it felt very private with nice views out the back to the bay. It was a short 5 minute walk to the the pools, gym, and clubhouse and even quicker on bike. House was well appointed and I don't recall feeling anything else was needed or missing.

Only fluke was ice maker had broken, but Jeanne immediatly let us know, and offered to have ice sent to the house, which she did. I only brought up icemaker to show how attentive Jeanne was to her guests, she was a true pleasure to deal with thruout.

The Peninsula itself is beyond beautiful, we are not golfers, but still love the community and all the other ammenities. We personally towed our boat and kept at a local marina 10 minutes away on Rehobeth Bay. A 20 minute boat ride has you at Dewey Beach without driving thru any traffic, or you can just perch on a sand bar and relax in the bay. As with many people on vacation we try to squeeze to much in, we could literally never leave the community and be just as happy!

I don't feel anyone would be dissapointed with their stay here.

Quiet area, great for biking and long walks. Well kept area.

  • 5 of 5

Our favorites were the wave pool and the beach area. We enjoyed sitting by the water and watching folks crab.

The Peninsula is great!

  • 3 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the Peninsula and in fact it was our second summer staying there. Our kids are too young to be at the beach everyday so the wave pool and other community amenities make this a great spot for the little ones. The one thing I would say though, before booking your stay here, is that this particular place really does feel like a rental property and not much like a home at all. So many simple things like not having a broom, only having one real serving bowl, only having one baking pan, and a grill with what looked like years of food debris caked on made this stay with family a bit inconvenient. I was debating between a 3 or 4 star review because the owner is fantastic and she was genuinely sorry these things were not in place and she agreed to credit us back the money we spent buying a grill brush and broom but in the future I hope these things are sorted out for future families. If others stay here in the near future and feel these things were accounted for please update.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear that you were not entirely happy at our townhome due to the minor inconveniences described. No other tenant advised of the items missing and none grilled. These issues have been addressed for future tenants.

Great for families

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this wonderful home in the Penninsula for Thanksgiving weekend. The home is very open and clean. There were plenty of bedrooms to accomodate our large party and lots of room for the kids to hang out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to eat at home and the beds were very comfortable. My kids especially enjoyed using the bicylcles to ride to the bay and pool/club. You truly can't go wrong staying at the Penninsula and this home makes it great!

Additionally, the host of this home was very nice and provided prompt and clear communication throughout the process - from deciding to rent, to staying in the home, to getting my security deposit back. I would definmitely stay at this home again and highly recommend it to others.

We love Marina Bay Circle

  • 5 of 5

I loved our stay at Peninsula. The home was spacious and beautiful.

The community was welcoming and very kind to my children. The crabs were

plentiful. I only wish I had met the owner sooner - I would love to sit and laugh with her more! Thank you!

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

Great property and location! Very clean and spacious. Our family of 5 took advantage of the amenities in the community and found everyone to be freindly and helpful in finding fun things to do with the kids. It is close to the beach but far enough removed that you can enjoy quiet time. We hope to return next summer!
