This fisherman's cottage is possibly in THE PERFECT location in Poole. Situated within a stones throw (literally) from the Sea, and right next to the Fisherman's Dock, with direct access to the sea side foot walk onto the Poole Quayside and Town Centre. There is an abundance of activities that you can book to include Fishing Trips, Dive Boats, Sailing Boats, Parascending and more, as well as fantastic array of bars and restaurants that cater for all ages and tastes. The two bedrooms both have stunning sea views, with the master bedroom looking out over the harbour and across to Brownsea Island. There is a comfy lounge area with all expected facilities and a dining area that leads out onto the 'sun trap' patio and garden that backs onto the harbour and is absolutely perfect for BBQ, playing with your children or just relaxing in the sunshine. About Andy George

I live on the outskirts of London with my wife and dog and have been lucky enough to travel up and down to Poole since i was a young lad with my family, and now with my own family.

Why Andy George chose Purbeck

The location of this property cannot get much better if you want sea views and to have the option to just leave your car in the drive and walk around Poole and the local area.

We've been slowly upgrading the property over the past few years, and its really becoming what we've envisaged now. Those regulars who come back year on year have been making very positive comments. The bathroom was refurbished in 2014, and in May 2015 all carpets replaced, bedroom, lounge and dining room furniture replaced. An internal redecoration was also undertaken.

The Kitchen and dining room was all replaced in April 2016 with an external decoration undertaken also.

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

I am almost afraid to write a good review in case it is booked up next time we want it. The cottage is perfectly situated with views all round; perfect for walking with a dog and into town. It was well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. I hope we go back!

Beautiful Dorest

  • 5 of 5

A lovely little cottage, well presented, we had a very relaxed stay. Location was great too, literally a stone's throw from the sea, easy walking distance to the local amenities. Lots to do and see, a car is required for the further away excursions but with parking at the property this is not a problem. We had our first family holiday with our 18 month old here and she loved it too, well who wouldn't like Peppa Pig world, Brownsea island (first boat trip), Monkey World, Farmer Parmer's, Oceanarium, not to mention the beautiful walks, Compton Acres etc. The British weather played its part with a few wet days but there was also a very local soft play called the Ark which was excellent. We would recommend this accommodation and area to anyone.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the lovely review Ric, Appreciate the recommendations on the kid friendly activities in particular, mainly on a selfish note as I wasn't aware of the soft play centre myself nd will definitely be paying a visit to it with our little one the next time we are at the cottage. All the best Andy

Another fantastic week at this lovely cottage by Poole Harbour!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and youngest son and myself had a fantastic week in this cottage next to Poole Harbour, wonderful weather and so much to do in the area. Only took us 2 hours to drive from Kent and can't wait to book again for next year.

Lovely place for a holiday

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to have a holiday with our two dogs & this place was perfect! Being right on the harbour side next to the sea & open park space it was easy to walk the dogs. The house also had a nice little garden which was lovely for the dogs too. The property was clean & well looked after & an easy walk to the town. We had a lovely time here & so did our dogs!

We had an amazing week in the perfect location for relaxing, three minutes walk from the quayside

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is beautiful. Clean, newly refurbished, and well equipped kitchen. Powerful shower that gets the sand out! Very comfortable beds and plenty of drawers and wardrobe space for all the clothes you pack but don't get round to wearing!! Comfortable lounge and dining area. South facing garden only one garden away from the sea wall walk. So all the views but without losing privacy of people walking by. Perfect. Easy off road parking. Local shops for all requirements five minutes walk away. Fancy an Indian? Taj Mahal 2 one road back from the Quay. Not to be missed. Carrot cake? OMG blue building on the front called something like Emporium. £2.25 huge fresh SLICE. Have fun.

Poole is a vibrant, bustling town with stunning views from the Quayside across Poole Harbour, the worlds second largest natural harbour. You can take a stroll down the quayside where many activities can be booked to include Fishing, Diving, Sailing, Kitesurfing and Windsurfing amongst others. There are also numerous boat trips that can be taken in various directions, up to Wareham, across to Brownsea Island, or to the beautiful Sandbanks and Studland Bay beaches.

There are some fantastic walks to be had along the Dorset Jurassic Coast which is steeped in wildlife for all nature lovers. On that note the harbour is of International importance for wildlife conservation and borders 3 nature reserves, whilst also being home to the rare 'Red Squirrel'.

Poole is of great historical interest having been used by the Romans as an Invasion port to take over the South of England, and as a result there have been historical findings with the oldest being a logboat dating back to 295 BC
