Cute Waterfront Cottage On Long Lake W/ 50 Foot Private Dock & Pier
About Sam Wright
Sam is a former pilot and designer. Sheila is an elementary school teacher. We love all things that have history and a story to tell. Most of our life we have lived on the water or close to it. We love properties that make you feel like you are on vacation. This is our most important consideration when choosing a place to live or visit. We hope you'll fall in love with this Long Lake Cottage the same way we did.
Sam Wright purchased this Cottage in 2002
Why Sam Wright chose Ingleside
I used to pass by Long Lake on my morning and evening commute to work on the Metra train to Chicago. I fell in love with the look and feel of this lake and always wanted a home here. That dream came true and now we can't wait to share it with you!
What makes this Cottage unique
Ingleside and Long Lake are unique in that they feel miles away from everything, yet you're close to everything you need. There is no shortage of great places to eat, drink, or shop. The nearby Ingleside Metra train station makes getting to or from Chicago a breeze. Downtown Milwaukee is only an hour's drive away. The best of Illinois and Wisconsin await and when you're done exploring you have the perfect place to come home to!

Perfect cottage on quiet lake.
We absolutely enjoyed our experience at this cottage. Located on a very quiet but good size lake with the ability to fish (great fishing) and the size and space to do some water skiing and tubing if you are so inclined. The cottage had everything we needed for a small group. We highly recommend this cottage for a small family or a couple.
So happy you were able to visit and look forward to seeing you both again!
Quick fishing weekend
The cottage was perfect for a quick weekend get away. The inside is spacious and very clean. Absolutely loved the art pieces and mementos of the owner's journeys. The back deck was awesome for hanging out. Big fire ring for marshmallow roasting. We had a blast kayaking the channel out to the lake. It's so peaceful. Fishing right off the backyard dock area was the highlight as well as watching huge bass jump out of the water just after dusk. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
We thank YOU! Come back again!!
I have only positive things to say.
Polite, as advertised, clean, fishing was GREAT, great location.
100% would stay again and suggest if you are looking at this spot, book it now, before someone else does.
Adam thanks for coming out I'm glad you caught some fish despite the rain hope to see you again soon!
Cozy, eclectic little cottage with all the comforts of home. Close to all that is needed. Sam, the owner, could not have been more welcoming...Would definitely like to go there again...
Thanks for coming out, hope to see you again!
Nicely finished, warm and welcoming this is a great place to stay.
Thanks! Matt L
Perfect Weekend Getaway!
The house looked exactly as pictured and was conveniently located to great food & Lake Geneva!! We enjoyed our stay in the area. Sam, the owner was awesome and very responsive.
Hope to see you both again and thanks for your visit! Sam & Sheila
Close to Six Flags Great America, Metra train service to downtown Chicago, the worlds best pizza (in our opinion) at Fanella's, downhill skiing and the largest tubing hill in North America at Wilmot Mountain. Long Lake has restricted access to the rest of the Chain O' Lakes, making it less busy, more intimate and less crowded than the rest of the chain. In our opinion, Long Lake is a superior water skiing/tubing lake at any time of day. The fishing in Long Lake is excellent as our Long Lake neighbors pay to have the lake stocked with fish each year. Fish right off your own 50 foot dock and pier! Long Lake has been featured on Babe Winkelman's show, and hosts several tournaments per year.
