About EVA CARLETON, Owner
This house is owned by an older couple who purchased the house because of its location (so near to the heart of town) and its proximity to family members who live in the neighborhood and love it. When we retire, we will probably move to this area because our grandkids live close-by and because the area is simply so cute and conveniently close to all of the fun activities and restaurants in Coeur d'Alene.
EVA CARLETON, Owner purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why EVA CARLETON, Owner chose Coeur d'Alene

We spent a week in Coeur d'Alene and this house was the perfect location. It was within two blocks of the Tub Hill area and the trail leading into McEuen Park. Once on the trail it was an easy walk ( 5 minutes) to the Tubbs Hill trails, the Coeur d'Alene Resort, or the downtown area. We walked everywhere and only used our car to go back and forth to Spokane and get to the mountain bike trails. This house was very quaint and is the perfect size for two people or a small family. We will definitely rent this place again for future stays. The owner Eva was very nice and is very helpful with any questions/problems encountered. Our favorite spots in town were Vault coffee, Coeur d'Alene Coffee house, Bakery by theLake, Crafted(great beer list), Uva (Italian), and the Dockside at the resort for a great buffet breakfast! We mountain biked the Fourth of July Trail and English Point (Hayden Lake). Great trails for a novice Mt. biker like myself... Much more difficult trails in the area too. Overall it was a great week.... the only thing keeping it from a fantastic week was all the smoke the last three days from all the PNW forest fires.
Thank you for your kind review...and for leaving the house so nice!!
Yes, the smoke lingered several days, but it's beautiful blue skies again with mid-70s temps.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was comfortable and of course the location is perfect!
This cottage was great for the children! They especially enjoyed the sun/art room. The weather was quite chilly this year so all of the toys were especially appreciated! We all enjoyed the backyard and easy access to the parks & downtown.
We would definitely like to stay again!
My husband and I loved staying in this sweet house. It was cozy and bright and everything you might need was provided - perfect for a beautiful weekend on the lake! Thank you!
A-Z it was awesome
Simply not enough good things.
From the start, Eva was awesome about communication; prompt responses and very pleasant to work with. Myself along with my wife and 3 young sons (ages 8 months-8 years old) traveled to CdA from Pittsburgh and we loved our stay. The house was great- it allowed us to cook in about half of the time and it's logistics served as an awesome home base.
Walking distance to everything- from Tubbs to Sherman to Fort Grounds. I walked to the beach every morning and the kids loved how close we were to McEuen. Eva was awesome too- with a high chair for my little guy, some kids/beach toys- she really made you feel right at home. The house itself was super clean and charming.
A sincere thank you for sharing your home with us and we can't wait to return!
Great location and cutest house!
We walked to everything - couldn't have been a better spot. Hiked Tubbs Hill everyday - and walked there! Followed by a beer at the dock and a great walk home. Walked to the bakery in the morning, take the coffee/pastries to the lake - perfect start to the day. This house is very cute and set up well - great fenced yard for the doggies. She's thought of everything you'll need. Great coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
We'd stay there again for sure - now that we are in love with CDA. Great little town and the lake is beautiful. So much to explore and do. We were afraid we would be bored - but there's a lot to do all right there.
The neighborhood is very quiet. I read three books on this trip -- sitting in the front room with my tea. That in and of itself is a luxury in my life - very relaxing trip!
