This is an ideal location to gather your whole family
together for a weekend getaway or to celebrate the special
events in your family life. It can also host a
business meeting, staff retreat or company gathering.

There are many comfortable spots inside the house or
find one outside on the porch overlooking the verdant
lawn and tall trees. You can also take a walk in the historic
cemetery. The gate is in the hedges below the garage. Stroll
downtown and explore the streets of a Victorian industrial town.
The Ashuwillticook bike path heads south for 11 miles
eventually following the Hoosic River, crossing through wetland and skirting around Cheshire Reservoir. It’s mostly flat because it follows the former railroad route.
In town there are a few small museums and historic sites:
The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, Quaker Meeting
House, Thunderbolt Ski Museum, New England Holocaust
Institute Museum, and William McKinley Statue.

Incredible property
We held a family reunion here and our only regret was that we didn’t plan for a longer stay. It was like having a boutique hotel all to ourselves. Beautiful house, well-stocked updated kitchen, comfortable beds, good location. A real gem.

Somewhere in Time
If you have ever watched the Christoper Reeve and Jane Seymour movie Somewhere in Time then you will truly appreciate the artistic and architectural beauty of this home. Multiple period rooms to recline in and escape to with multiple clean and comfortable sleeping quarters. We spent evenings on the large veranda porch and morning coffee on the second floor porch overlooking the mature grounds. Being located in the heart of the Berkshires, access to nature and culture is easy. You can feel the manager Jill’s heart and soul in the Manor and your experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic property and host!!!
The Manor was a great facility. Our group had an amazing weekend celebrating my son's college graduation. Everyone who stayed with us slept well and had plenty of "private" space. We hosted dinners for up to 21 people with ease. We all fit comfortably in the dining room, with some creative table arrangements. There was plenty of space in the various reception rooms, porches, etc. for people to chill, chat, relax, or snooze before dinner. Jill was a great host - amazingly prompt, flexible and considerate. If I had any complaint, it would be that the place could use a few larger pots and pans - there are dishes, silverware and glasses for up to 40 for dinner (maybe even more, but I didn't check all the cupboards), but I was a bit strapped when making a bowl of pasta for 15 or boiling a few lobsters. It also requires a bit of persistence to find. Jill's directions are spot on - but it wasn't clear to me that it was the old rectory until we got there. I think all of our staying and dining guests had a bit of an issue finding it, but that could be an age thing. Be patient - it is worth what you find at the end of the road!!! Many thanks, Jill & co.

A member of the local community my entire life, I am honored to work with the amazing team that has revitalized this 1800's historical property. My husband, David and I live just a few miles away where we have raised our three children. Each of us has a deep affinity for this incredible property. We welcome you!!!

Why they chose this property

The Manor is an elegant home built in the 1800's with a beautiful story and rich history. It offers amazing architecture and style with all modern conveniences you might desire. Once encompassed within its walls you will feel its unique small town warmth which adds significantly to its charm. Located in Western Massachusetts the surrounding towns provide wonderful cultural venues and many outdoor activities. The Manor rests at the base of Mt. Greylock, the tallest mountain in Massachusetts, which not only provides a wonderful backdrop but also the promise of scenic hikes or drives; with wildlife an added bonus. We look forward to your visit and appreciate your consideration!

What makes this property unique

The Manor offers a beautifully designed and large front porch which overlooks streets of this old, industrial town and an sunroom accessible from an inside hall...Both perfect spots to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening Chardonnay...or perhaps just a good book.
