My husband and I recently stayed at the Eiger Studio for 5 nights. It was our first time to Grindelwald and we absolutely loved it. The studio was adorable and perfect for us. It was super close to the train station (2-3 minute walk) and right by the main town with shops, grocery stores and restaurants. We were able to easily access the bus system and the train to the Top of the World and Interlaken with no problems. The studio balcony had an amazing view, super comfortable bedding and the size was just fine for 2 people. It had all the basic amenities for cooking and the wifi worked great. We have zero complaints about this place and hope to return one day. During our flight home, we were saying how much we missed studio Eiger already.
Me and my husband stayed in Grindelwald in the first week of August at Chalet Alpstein. The Chalet is just 3 min walk from Grindelwald Station and 2 min walk from the Bus station. It had kitchen, fridge, tv, balcony and Wifi. It was fun to be there. The Owner Rosa was very helpful. We had rented the 'Eiger Studio Apartment'. In fact we were very lucky to be there as it was a perfect spot to witness the 1st August, Swiss National Day celebrations, which were held at the bus stop. I remember, it started raining in between the celebrations so I ran to the chalet and got the umbrella... :) One more time, we were at Grindelwald Station, and it struck me that I have forgotten my Swiss Pass at the chalet. I again ran to the Chalet and came back and caught the train to Interlaken. 'Coop Store' was just 2 min walk. We cud buy vegetables (for cooking a meal)and fruits from there. The tourist center and the Sports center was just opposite. I cud not have expected any more... :) It was indeed a lovely experience.
