About this property

Sunrise Mountain Cabin is a lovely cabin at about 2,016 foot elevation with a great view of the valley. The cabin has approximately 1,400 square feet and is furnished with everything you need. Hiking trails and fishing pond only a short walk away. We have 12 state parks within 25 miles of our cabin. The Caverns, which often hosts concerts, is about 20 minutes away. Each season has its own beauty. Come and experience them all. The cabin is decorated for each holiday. Bring your ATV as there are many trails all around the cabin. When booking, please let us know a little about your stay. Are you bringing pets? Children? How may guests will be with you? Do you have special needs? Cozy stay with a stunning view!

The location was wonderful and the view of the sunrise was incredible, not to mention the view of the stars at night. Hope to return in the future!

Great Getaway!

Great cabin for a weekend getaway from Nashville. The cabin was adorable, very clean and cozy! We plan to come back when we can stay a little longer! I do recommend stocking up on supplies before heading to the cabin, as the closest store is about 6 miles away.

The view is perfection.

I’m understand why they call it Sunrise Mountain Cabin! 😁 The sunrise was perfection. Absolutely stunning! The kids really enjoyed the home feeling cabin and the porch swing! Only thing I’m disappointed about is only staying for one day! Highly recommend!

We both love the country life. We love the quiet and the cooler temperatures of our mountain home. We live only about 300 yards from the cabin further down on Gap Road. David is originally from Indiana, graduated from Indiana University, and consults for ExxonMobil on international projects. Kim is originally from Louisiana, graduated from Southestern LA. University and retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. Together we have 4 sons, all grown, and 3 grandchildren. We are Christians and highly involved with volunteer activities.
Our hobbies include playing the guitar and piano, astronomy, family history and sports of all types. We really love watching football and basketball.

We enjoy going on ATV rides behind our home. The trails are intermediate in difficulty. Bring your ATV plenty of trails for you to explore. We also enjoy working in our yards. We love boating and Wood Reservoir is approximately 20 miles from the cabin. It is a lovely reservoir good for fishing and water skiing.

We hope you will visit us soon and experience the mountain life for yourself.

The cabin has a view that is breath taking. Several state parks are within a few miles of the cabin with loads of hikes to choose from. So many activities so close to our cabin. You will love our Sunrise Mountain Cabin.

What makes this property unique

The cabin comes with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
The kitchen has appliances, dishes, utensils, and is ready for all sorts of cooking if you desire.
The cabin has cable TV and Firestick if you have an Amazon account as well as a BluRay player and DVD's for use.
We provide High Speed WiFi as the cabin is hooked up to fiber optic internet service. A house phone is provided as well as a washer and dryer. There are 2 tables to eat from, one large dining room table as well as a smaller kitchen table which faces the view.
There are 2 queen sized beds in the loft area. The cabin has a propane gas grill for cooking your favorite dish or steak.
We provide books on Tennessee and the area for reference. There is a house manual and reference book with details on the area, shopping, eating, hikes and all you need to know to enjoy your stay.
And in the yard, we have a small fire pit for when you want to fix those Smores with the kids or as a kid!
The cliff area at night has the most wonderful view of the stars, and many of our guests take the lawn chairs down to the cliff at night and just sit and watch the skies. Perfect for anyone with an interest in Astronomy. Last, it is peaceful and quiet.
