New favorite spot in the Arkansas River Valley!
I visit the area a few times a year and stay all over from Leadville to Salida. This is my new favorite! Absolutely gorgeous views, including the horses and cattle on this working ranch. Perfect cabin layout and great outdoor area. Host was awesome to work with. Can’t wait to visit again.

Cozy Cabin in the Mountains
The cabin is beautiful along with the surrounding property. The cabin is clean and is built with limitless details that make it beautiful. There is a captivating view of the mountains. They also have sweet horses on the property that you can see from the windows and the porch. There are plenty of towels and a clean laundry area. The property manager is very kind and helpful. They had to plow snow for us while we were there.

Father purchased ranch when I was 3 yrs. old. I grew up here and was able to raise my 3 children with my beautiful wife of 39 years. Family operated a dairy on ranch till 1981. Had to go to work for the state to make a living. Retired in 2004 and put the ranch into a conservation easement and built these cabins for you.

Why they chose this property

Monarch ski area is a short 12 miles away in the winter and world class white water rafting is just minutes away. Has 1 mile of south Arkansas River frontage and has 1 acre trout pond

What makes this property unique

This Historic working cattle ranch offers unsurpassed beauty and solitude. Great fishing and wildlife viewing await you. Cabin was finished in June of 2012. You will appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of the furnishings.
