Fowey Cornwall - lovely modern house with balconies and fantastic views

8 Troy Court sleeps 6. It is a three storey house, tastefully furnished and well equipped. There are stunning views of the Fowey river from two balconies and patio as well as a garage and off-street parking (at a premium in Fowey!). The large kitchen/diner seats eight and has a gas hob, two electric ovens, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The lounge has two sofas, CD player, ipod docking station, flat screen TV with a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. There are french doors opening on to the balcony with table and chairs with superb views of the town and river. Two of the bedrooms have double beds - one has its own balcony with views of the river. The third bedroom, with ensuite shower room, has two single beds and french doors opening to a patio garden. All bedrooms have ample storage. The main bathroom, recently refurbished, has bath, shower, basin and toilet. As well as the patio there is a large communal garden.

Stunning Fowey

We had a wonderful week staying at Troy Court, everything was perfect - location, space, decor, facilities and weather. We explored widely; on foot, by boat and in the car.

Disappointing that we couldn't stay....

We were meant to stay here for three nights in April. The day before we were due to stay, we hadn't received information on how to access the house, so I emailed. Sarah sent through the key access details which was good, but also mentioned in the check-in information that sheets were provided, but you have to bring your own towels. We are from Australia, and didn't have our own towels (not needing them in any other place we stayed through HomeAway or VRBO, and the website for this house said linens were provided, so we assumed this meant towels too). Well, we panicked, and Sarah said that we could buy towels at nearby supermarkets, and then mentioned there might be a towel in the boiler room. Before we arrived in Fowey, we stopped off to buy one towel, just in case. We arrived late afternoon (around 6pm), and dragged all our luggage and a big food shop in. We should have checked the place out first. It was extremely unclean. Cleaning products were left on the beds, the floor was filthy, and I can't even describe the bathrooms and kitchens, just to name a few things. We contacted the owner immediately, and she was very surprised, and asked for photos of the state of the house. I was so upset and angry by this stage. Luckily for us, Estuary Heights a few doors down in Troy Court was not booked, and Sarah was able to organise for us to move in there within a few hours (while we were also looking up hotels just in case in the meantime!). Estuary Heights was clean and comfortable, with lots of towels, and we loved our stay there. We were so looking forward to our stay here, so it really was a huge disappointment. We did appreciate Sarah's help in finding alternative accommodation, but we shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place.

Lovely Easter stay in Fowey

We had a really lovely and relaxing Easter holiday in Sarah's house, where we stayed with our fore adult daughters. There was enough space for all of us so that we were really able to fully enjoy our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped for a large group like ours, we had really everything we needed in the right size and number. We enjoyed cooking and having dinner together at the beautiful wooden table. It is a wonderful place with incredible views overlooking the river from the balconies - which we appriciated at all times of the day - and a fantastic base for beautiful walks on both sides of the coast. Sarah was an excellent host, very friendly and flexible with our checkout time. We really felt welcomed. A really comfortable place to stay in a beautiful location. We would certanly love to come again.

A super house in a great location and parking for 2 cars.

We so enjoyed our two weeks on Fowey made all the more special staying in great accommodation. We particularly enjoyed having meals and drinks on the balcony overlooking the river. Our accommodation was warm and very comfortable; also very well equipped.

Spacious and very comfortable 3 bed town house, with amazing estuary views. Set in heart of Fowey with private parking & easy access to all it amenities, but is also a good base for exploring rest of the Cornish area. We had a lovely stay here, no complaints at all. Sarah the hoist had good communications both throughout the booking and also through the stay. We would definitely return in the future
