About Andrea Andrews, Proprietor

This recently renovated, charming Country Estate was purchased by my grandparents in 1949 to expand their farmland. As a lifelong Topekan, I like to share this special place with others. This home has been modernized and updated over the past several years, and is waiting to be enjoyed by families and groups looking to escape from the chaos of daily life, and relax in a comfortable, yet spacious setting.

Andrea Andrews, Proprietor purchased this farmhouse in 1949

Why Andrea Andrews, Proprietor chose Kansas

Just take a few minutes to sit and watch the sunset over the Flint Hills, or listen to the sounds of the songbirds in the day, or the crickets, coyotes, and other country critters in the evening, and you will discover the beauty that exists hidden in this part of Kansas.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Wildlife, wildflowers, and pure country living as viewed in all directions, draw visitors to this lovely and unique home. From its impressive architecture, to its elegant, but home-like comforts inside and out, everyone is sure to be impressed. Quaint House Close to Topeka

  • 5 of 5

My group loved this property. Plenty of space to meet, sleep and eat. We loved the house with it's classic country feel and the annex was spacious and cool on hot summer days. Shelly was beyond helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a productive and fun stay! We would definitely stay here again!

Great setup for our family

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family gathered there for a reunion. It worked well, with lots of activities (indoors and out) for the kids, and we were able to rent the "whole house"--and make it our own for those few days.

Beautiful land for a wonderful prairie wedding! Great, accommodating staff for a memorable weekend.

  • 5 of 5

The Keene Country Estate and Conference center was an excellent choice for our wedding location. It was everything we wanted at an affordable price. The farmhouse and annex provided ample room for our entire wedding party and immediate family for the weekend of the wedding. The farmhouse is amazing and stocked with plenty of cooking supplies to accommodate large groups like ours, or smaller groups for a quiet weekend.

The real gem of the place though was the owners. Shelly, Mike, and the rest of the staff hands down helped make a wonderful weekend filled with happy memories for a lot of people. They strove to make sure we were happy with everything and stayed in touch when needed. They helped out at the reception and even cleaned up the food. They handle the parking for all the quests and provide chairs, tables, table cloths, and so much more. For what we paid for the weekend, we really got a great deal. They are spectacular people to work with!

The views were stunning and offered a variety of locations for photographs. We had a lot of compliments from out guests about everything and many asked how we found this place. Our wedding was perfect in every way and I would hands down recommend the Keene Country Estate and Conference Center to anyone who needed a place to create memories to last a lifetime.

Graduation at the Estate

  • 5 of 5

This property and the owner were wonderful. The owner was most accommodating in letting us know everything we need to know and taught us the history of the Estate.

The grounds are immense and a great place to get away for a family reunion, wedding, and graduations; or just to relax.

We will diffidently be going back for more family functions.
