About Miriam Mier
I was born and raised in Mexico, I moved to Texas 35 years ago, and my passion is to travel. I have three children that have already graduated from College and married and live away from home, so I have now an opportunity to travel the world. Lately my husband and I have been traveling to several countries like Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Central America, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, etc. looking for the right place to retire. I love warm weather and I love the beach, so that was one of the areas I was looking for when selecting a property. I missed my home country, and remember how nice it was in my early years. I started going to beach areas in different countries, and last time when I visited Puerto Vallarta, I decided that this was the place to stay. It is a safe place, inexpensive, with very friendly people, where if you want to relax, you can do it beach-side, but if you want to visit a night club, a nice restaurant, you can have that option too. My husband and I like dancing, so, we can do it feeling safe. We found this condominium very centrally located, and we decided to get it. We had to put our signature, and re-decorated it, to make it fell home. We are still about 5 years from retirement, so we decided to allow other people enjoy our home away from home until we can move in full time.

Why Miriam Mier chose Hotel Zone
First, Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful place with amazing views everywhere. If you look at the mountains, they are beautiful and green, when you see the ocean is peaceful, inviting, relaxing, you can breath the culture just by waking in town, the music, the artists, all the surroundings make you feel good. I can really see myself retiring here, and it is a place where my children (now adults) will be happy to visit.

Nice clean good location
It was a great experience!
We had a great time. Communication was amazing with Miriam. It was very nice to have the beach so close to walk with my 3 kids ( younger than 6yrs old)
We enjoyed the beach, the pool and the shows at night!
The place has everything we needed to cook our breakfast and lunch. We went out for dinners.
Having AC and fans was great!
We enjoyed the deck a lot for our meals, and the view was great!
Having a password to enter the door was amazing and with no worries!
Beautiful Condo, makes you feel at home
From the moment you enter the condo, you have a view of the beach. This condo is very cozy, exactly like it shows on the pictures. Very clean, nicely decorated with everything you need to have a great time. Easy access to the pool and beach area with towels and lounge chairs. The pool is just a few steps down. The most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. I enjoyed a beach front restaurant that is just next to the river, to the right of the resort. Across the street, there is a Food Park that has a nice variety of great food at a good price. The closest grocery store is about a block away, and very convenient. 10 minutes by taxi or uber to the Malecon, and about 5 minutes to the Marina.
I will for sure be back to this beautiful home.
Thank you for having us..
Stay away and don’t waste your time
We arrived at this property and immediately felt uneasy because of the way the property looked. We finally got to our room and it wasn’t clean as they said it was. Crinkled beds dust bunnies on the floor a sliding door that didn’t properly lock. We looked at each other and said I guess we have to make the best of it because we have paid and we have to stay somewhere for a week. As I was getting change into a swimming suit the last xterior door swung opened and a lady entered the room. She had the code to our place. She said can I show this place to someone who wants to rent this later.. I was not happy, didn’t feel safe knowing someone had the code to the room. The safe did not work, so no place for cash or passports. The pictures of this property were taken many years ago , maybe even when it was first occupied. The pool area was so small, it was so crowded, everyone had their drinks in hand , in the pool with them. If you want a good relaxing vacation , Stay Away. We spent the next hour trying to find a place to stay, we did and made the last week of our vacation great, a little costly though.
Roomy & Comfortable
This was our first stay at a condo/all inclusive resort all at the same property. It took a little getting used to the two tier system but once we did we enjoyed our stay. The condo has lots of room which we appreciated as we stayed 3 weeks. The beds & furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped to cook simple meals. Keep in mind that you have a 2 burner stove and no oven, exactly as represented by the owner. We did have a problem with the safe access and this was remedied immediately by the owner - thanks Marcos and Miriam for such a quick response. Great for beach walks. A large store to buy groceries is a 5 to 10 minute walk. If you go to the pool area by 8 you can get a lounge chair. I liked the fact that you can't put items on lounge chairs more than 1 hour to reserve them. This stops the very early morning rush to get loungers. The check in process was easy. The only tricky thing is drinking water. The literature in the condo says that you can arrange drinking water through the bell men but when we enquirer at the desk we were told that this service was not available. You are able to buy water at the off site grocery store but it is heavy to carry if you are walking. You can get around this by purchasing a lot of water on your first trip for groceries and the taking a taxi ( they are cheap) back to the condo. The bell men will help you with a cart to get your water/ groceries to your room. We found that we went through about 6 litres per day. You are able to go to the evening shows at the resort which is an added bonus over regular condos. Most are your typical resort shows but we were impressed by the magic show - one of the best resort shows we have been to. If you are looking for an economical beach front condo this is a good choice.
Beachfront Puerto Vallarta Condo
My family stayed in this condo close to the airport New Year's week Communication with Miriam is excellent. We arrived before the check in time and we were able to get an early check (by shortly after 2 pm.) We appreciated the beer that was put in the fridge for our arrival. When you are a condo guest, you must wear a wristband. Just know that many staff will identify you easily and ask about attending a meeting to receive a day's all inclusive stay. My family went for a good breakfast buffet over at the NOW resort which was less than 10 minutes away from this resort. Two of my family were taxied back to the condo resort and my husband and I sat through a meeting (which we have done a few times before) and got a voucher for the all inclusive for 4 people which we used on January 1st. Large american dollars are required to purchase a membership in the higher end Secrets resort of which we did not purchase. The drinks at the condo resort were good but the food at this resort was not that great. The cost to purchase all inclusive has been bumped up to $60 US per person. In terms of Miriam's condo, we had enough space for the four of us. We were happy with the large bathroom sink that was outside the toilet/shower area. There was no fan in the bathroom. The queen beds were comfortable and there are both air conditioning and fans in the rooms. My son used the sofa bed which could use a foam topper. Overall the condo was comfortable but could use more cleaning and a bit of updating. The patio view was really nice. Just know that resort people and staff are very visible. My kids also used the gym once but on New Year's day they took away this use for people in the condos. Also they were implementing an access card into the resort area and gave us only one card for four people. Miriam said the condo board was grieving access to the gym and trying to get more than one access card so ask her if this was figured out. We did not cook in the condo but ate out in Old town (10 pesos - bus, 85 pesos - Malecon or 130 peso cab ride - Blue shrimp-excellent & pricey) and the Marina (85 peso cab ride) We walked to La Dolce for supper twice and had supper in La Isla (Carlos & Charlies) In the marina we had breakfast over the water at La Terrazza di Roma. In old town we enjoyed Cafe de Olla. We should have planned for a taxi shopping to the Soriana the first day. Its a 15 minute walk which is hard with groceries. Beach access is nice as well.
