Photos and Description of this Orahovac holiday house

House with 2 en suite bedrooms, large front patio, back terrace -

An Old Stone House tastefully renovated and completed in July 2009 to a high standard, 200 mt from the quaint fishing village beach of Orahovac. The house has beautiful views of both the sea and mountains. Orahovac is between Perast (5 minutes away) and Kotor (15 minutes away).

Enter the house from a large 25 m2 front patio with table and chairs for six people along with sun loungers. The living room has modern designer furniture and exposed original stone walls. This leads onto a separate kitchen with cooker, hob, washing machine and large fridge /freezer. There is a downstairs toilet.

Up to the first floor area on your right are double french doors leading onto a private 15 m2 back terrace. The first floor bedroom is en suite with twin beds, exposed original stone walls , air conditioning, modern hand painted furniture and windows with beautiful sea and mountain views.

The large top floor bedroom with shower, toilet, large double bed, original stone walls and beautiful views.

Orahovac is a quite old fishing village having one of the most beautiful swimming areas with breathtaking views of the Bay. Our Old Stone House is 200 mts from the beach and will suit the more discerning traveller looking for something peaceful yet with a central location to all the local restuarants, shops, beaches and historical sites.

The house has all day sun with front patio and private back terrace for sunbathing, eating or some peaceful relaxation.

Guestbook comments from the owner

July one month stay.

Thank you so much for this great house which we used to hang out, explore the mountains and sea. A favourite was a trip to Lake Skadar but also the daily swim at the local beach, dinner at Amfora and the kittens next door- a perfect holiday.

Left in visitor book at the house.

An excellent property in a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have chosen this property for our stay in Montenegro. We intentionally chose a house and were not disappointed to find a property with much greater character than an apartment, yet still with all the facilities and comforts we needed. We also felt far more a part of the local community, with an excellent restaurant largely frequented by locals within less than five minutes' walk, and Perast, Kotor and the nearest supermarket all within a short drive. What took us completely by surprise, however, were the views from the roomy front patio, surrounded by towering mountains and with the whole of the Bay of Kotor stretching into the distance before us. This must surely be one of the most idyllic spots in the whole of Montenegro - thoroughly recommended.

Lovely little house in wonderful village

  • 5 of 5

We had the most lovely stay in this house. It was well equipped, smart and quiet. It is a short walk into the lovely village with great little bars and places to hire a sunbed and sit and watch the wonderful bay. The local hotel was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as were all the bars - it isn't too expensive to eat out but the wine isn't great! We didn't bother with a car, we flew to Tivat and used the bus and local taxi firm, it made our stay very relaxing and it was fun. On the one day we wanted a big day out exploring we hired a guy with a car for the day, it all worked out better than hiring a car. Montenegro is a beautiful place and this is a very nice base to enjoy it from. Everything is simple and charming and delightful, we loved it.

Comfort in Kotor

  • 5 of 5

Me, my husband and our two boys (aged 9 and 7) had a fantastic, relaxing holiday in the Old Stone House.

The house is newly decorated, spotlessly clean and stocked with a few nice extras, such as washing up liquid, soap, DVDs and condiments that make a holiday easier.

It is a perfect base to visit the spectacular Kotor Bay. Every morning we walked the 5 minutes down to the pebble beach and swam/played in the clean water. The water is so calm it is like swimming in a pool, but with amazing views. By lunchtime it was too hot for us, so we returned to the house and relaxed. Although there is no garden, as the house is split over three floors and has 2 terraces there was plenty of room for us all to do what we wanted. At the local beach there are several bars, which can be noisy, but walking further down the beach you can find quieter areas.

The only problem we had was the the air con in the upper bedroom at night. We passed this info onto Michael who said he would look into it.

We did hire a car but kept local, for the more adventurous there are lots of roads hanging to the edge of mountains to investigate!

Kotor is a must, it is beautiful and a great place to eat, but busy when the cruise ships are in port. There are also several lovely villages which are easy to get to and worth a visit, but the beauty of this area is that it is undeveloped and still seems pleasantly uncommercial.

Michael was really helpful and supplied us with lots of info on the house and the area before we arrived.

I would certainly recommend this house as a holiday location.

Stunning Old stone House - ITS TRUE

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an exceptional 12 days sun, sea, sight seeing and great foods. The Montenegro people are warm and friendly. The old stone house was truely great and private and as they said just 2 to 3 minutes walk to a lovely beach with quaint beach bars and restaurants. We found the area relaxing. To top it all their agent ANKA who greeted us proved to be so helpful and she told us of many places to visit. We intend to go back to this great country and old stone house in 2010.
