About John Eckley
I built this house new in the year 2000 halfway up the Navajo Mountain taking advantage of the spectacular views from this half acre home site that has slopes and flats for great snow sledding on the property for the kids!
John Eckley purchased this House in 2000
Why John Eckley chose Brian Head
The house is located on the Navajo Mountain, walking distance from the Navajo Ski Runs. Park your car in the garage and leave it there! The roads are plowed by the town of Brian Head as required. Two wheel drive is OK most of the time but not all the time. FOUR WHEEL DRIVE IS RECOMMENDED. Can Park 2 cars in the garage and more than 10 cars outside.
What makes this House unique
You can ride 4 wheel ATV's and snowmobiles to and from the property to anywhere in Brian Head. The Town has over 100 miles of ATV/Snowmobile trails that are maintained by the town for your riding pleasure. You can also just watch the deer wander by as they roam the area.

Friends ski trip
This is a great location for a weekend ski trip. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. It was great the kids could sled right out the door.
nice house, fully stocked , great view
Very good house for the big group
Our group of 4 families (4 couples and 6 adult children) enjoyed our stay at John house. There is one bedroom and one bathroom on the main floor, three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs (one master w/bathroom, and two w/shared bathroom), and kids bedroom downstairs with another bathroom. Kitchen had everything (we’re going to BH for 11 years, and never had a kitchen equipped so well). Another good thing - there was always enough hot water for everyone to take a shower after skiing. Everything was working. Recliners in the living room were so comfortable! Fireplace was very nice (a lot of wood in the garage). The only thing that could be better - kids room was not the best (it had entrance to the garage and laundry room, and rather small for 6 adult kids), but everything else was great. John was very helpful to answer all our questions instantly. Overall, we would recommend this property for big group of people, and will consider to rent it again . Thank you for the nice stay!
Great ski retreat
Fantastic location next to the slopes. The house is well maintained. Can't wait to get back.
Incredible views and more!
We arrived in early evening, right after a snow storm. The first thing I did was go up to the top floor deck to look at the beautiful view. It was breathtaking! I am a photographer and couldn’t wait until the am to take photos....at this point I have to summarize because I could go on and on about the magical photos I shot during our stay!
The house was well stocked all the way around. There were clean linens, well stocked cabinets (paper towels, name brand soaps/toiletries, etc), and ample kitchen tools to make meals. Everything was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again & recommend to others.
Unfortunately, We had to cancel our Thanksgiving due to a 100-year snow storm that came in. My 2 siblings and their families braved the storm and went to the cabin. Not only was John ok with that, but he was also kind enough to offer and extra day since my siblings had to drive a day later to get to the cabin. Thank you John. Though I didn't get to see the cabin, I am grateful that my 2 sisters did!
