About Linda L. Anderson

I have been a business owner in Cody since 1983 and owned and operated a roller skating facility until just a few years ago. I have also been a horse owner since the age of fourteen with the exception of the four years that I attended Western Michigan University. My family moved to Cody from South Lyon, Michigan where I boarded horses and raised german shepherds. In the later years I was also involved with the K-9 Search & Rescue Team. We brought Children, Horses, Dogs and Cats to 'Big Wonderful Wyoming'! All three children graduated from Cody High School with the youngest attending the Wapiti School from grades K thru 6. My Morgan Mare went from Show Horse to Mountain Horse. She took care of me on the trail; as well as packing out Elk for the family. I purchased her at six months of age and lost her a few years ago at the great age of thirty three. She was my horse of a Lifetime! Cody Country is most definitely an Awesome place to raise a family and to visit

Linda L. Anderson purchased this apartment in 1986

Beautiful Views in Every Direction

  • 5 of 5

The views in every direction are breathtaking! The host were very nice and accommodating. It is very convenient to Cody and to Yellowstone. I think better suited to a small family or one couple due to the layout (One bedroom is located in common area (only one private bedroom). I would definitely recommend.

Great cabin for our trip to Yellowstone and Cody

  • 5 of 5

This cabin worked perfectly for us. We had 5 people that stayed at the cabin. We visited Yellowstone for 2 days and Cody for 1 day. It is between the 2 locations so worked out nicely for us. We liked having the fridge and grill available so that we could grill out when we got back from Yellowstone. Everything was just as the pictures showed and nice & clean.

Great place to stay near Cody and Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just completed our 3rd visit staying in the Bunkhouse Linda is a great host and this bunkhouse has everything we need and the scenery is breathtaking and access to the Shoshone River is ideal for any fly fishermen. This is a great place for a base when visiting Yellowstone and an easy drive to Cody as well. Highly recommend

Pass on this one!

  • 1 of 5

The best thing about this rental was the location. Having said that, I would avoid this rental at all costs. We planned to cook meals here as this was about midway through a 2-week vacation. This rental really isn't set up for that. Here are my issues:

1) This kitchen was not suitable for cooking. There were old, broken utensils and a mismatch of old plates and silverware. The pans were badly worn and should have been thrown out.

2) It is basically part of a storage shed that they rent out. It was dirty, the futon sheets had holes in them and it wasn't well-cared for. You have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom which won't be an issue if there are only 2 people but more than that, it is annoying.

3)After our stay, I got a disturbing email from the owner about scratches that someone in my party had left on her table. I was shocked and in disbelief at this accusation. Our family is respectful and careful when renting properties as we also own a vacation rental. I emailed her back and told her that the alleged scratches were not from our party. I wonder if this is some sort of scam to get additional money from renters. Send them a picture of damage and ask for more money. My advice is to skip this rental at all costs.

Owner's Response: Isn't it amazing how when people do damage to your property and you confront them how vindictive they become! All was great regarding their stay until I confronted them about damages they did to my beautiful table top. Deep cuts, that may have occurred , unintentionally, but very damaging none the less. I live on the property and I am always there to help if something is not correct. And to think I had decided not to charge or even ask them for any kind of compensation. Then suddenly after 6 weeks I get this more than nasty review. Maybe I should still charge them for the damages; especially since they claimed that it was some sort of scam to get additional money? A scam.....I don't think so! I have two Vacation Rentals on the property and take great pride in my excellent accommodations and amenities. If in doubt you may check out the Reviews for my Bunkhouse #431981 and Ranch Lodging #389981 and make your own decision. I hope you don't Pass On This One!
