About Judy Henley
Found at the end of Old Factory Site Road (just a few minutes drive from downtown Murfreesboro, Lake Greeson and Crater of Diamonds State Park), the Henley family offers a secluded cabin on the banks of the Little Missouri River.
Judy Henley purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Judy Henley chose Murfreesboro
The cabin sits high on a rocky bank with a large shaded deck facing the water and dense woods. On the deck, you will find a BBQ grill, table for four, hammock and porch swing to relax in while the river flows below. Inside is room to sleep eight, upstairs and down, with a separate bedroom downstairs, pull-out sleeper sofa and two baths. A full kitchen with ceramic counter-tops, refrigerator, JennAir stove, microwave and coffee maker. You'll also find satellite and three flat screen televisions.
What makes this Cabin unique
The 'Old Factory Site' refers to a water driven mill that was located just upstream from the cabin in the mid 1800's. There was once a community, then known as Royston, at the site. The huge timber grid of the mill's 160+ year old foundation can still be seen in the river (a short walk away).
Wonderful place to stay!
I loved everything about our stay at this cabin. From the very beginning Judy replied quickly to any questions I had and was very friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze. This property was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend for a family of 5 and although we didn't cook during our stay there the kitchen is well stocked with anything we could have needed. The upstairs room was perfect for our 3 children to all stay together. I loved the hammock and the wrap around porch it was perfect for morning coffee and you just can't beat the view!
Thank you for choosing our cabin! We do our best to make it like home!
The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The views were great. We loved listening to the river and seeing it flow by from the back deck. I wish the fact that the upstairs is only accessible from the outside was stated more clearly. Also the grill outside was completely unusable. Other than the the stay was great.
There are 2 grills. The Webber grill works fine.
Awesome location comfy cottage
Plan to consider same location next year or possibly upgrade to eagles next cottage ne t door ( same owners)
ONLY suggestion is more towels for 7 people staying 3 nights
Secluded cozy cabin
We spent the Easter weekend at the cabin. 6 adults and a baby. the cabin is cozy but has great outdoor living space. Everything was clean and provided for. We loved our stay and will be back. Thank you for a great weekend.
THE CABIN WAS REALLY NICE AND RELAXING
The creek was a little scary for it turned out to be a raging river. We had to keep the kids from going down for fear of them falling in. The cabin was very comfortable very clean. Being the grandparents we had the down stair room and my daughter and her family had the upstairs with their kids.
I think the kids had a great time with the surround porch, hammock, porch swing and the hole in the floor it was their intercom system.
Perfect location on the river.
Cabin was clean and organized, looks like they thought of everything, even a small flashlight in the nightstand. Everything worked great inside the cabin. Would definitely stay again.
