About this property

It is gated, with parking. There is an outdoor pool. Gazebo with table & chairs. Villa Mare is an exclusive residential complex, made up of two buildings, located in front of one of the nicest beaches on the eastern coast, El Cortecito, Bavaro. It is a private project with 14 luxury apartments and with first class finishing.
Its design is a mixture of Mediterranean and Victorian Style, which are harmoniously located. The complex has lush landscaping.
The condo has common gas facilities, central air conditioning, along with air conditioners in each bedroom. There is 24-hour security and easy access to the beach which is only 25 feet away. We have free WiFi and cable TV.
Our condo is a beautiful, well cared for beach condo with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The spacious interior is tastefully furnished. Kitchen is fully equipped, with all cooking utensils, dishes, gadgets, toaster, coffee maker, blender, teapot, hand mixer, juicer, spices, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, water cooler for bottled water, microwave, iron & ironing board and washer and dryer. Dining table seats 6. Living room has 2 comfortable chairs, sofa, coffee table and TV. You will find a comfortable queen-size bed with a deluxe mattress in one bedroom and comfortable twin-size beds with deluxe mattresses in second bedroom. There is ample closet space with built-in shelving. A safe is provided to keep your passport and valuables. There is a large terrace to relax on, with a table and 6 chairs for al fresco dining; and two lounge chairs.
The condo is right across from the magnificent Los Corales/El Cortecito beach with thousands of swaying palms. Short walk to a supermarket Ciccolella.
There is a coffee shop/bakery/restaurant called Dalia. At El Dorado Plaza there are beauty salons, a pharmacy. Restaurants are nearby and public transportation is very convenient. 10 minutes from Centro Medico Hospital Punta Cana and Hospiten Bavaro Hospital. San Juan Shopping Center has 2 large supermarkets --Jumbo and Pola Supermarket, a Pizza Hut, Burger King and an ice cream shop, among other businesses and restaurants. A short distance away is the Palma Real Shopping Center with Moviemax theatre, restaurants, banking and boutique shops. The golf courses are Barcelo Bavaro, Cocotal Golf, White Sands Golf, La Cana, Punta Espada & Punta Blanca, Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore Golf Course and The Links at Casa de Campo. Nearby are bus, motor scooter and taxi service.

Stay away

The location is the only good part of this property. The listing is inaccurate as the property is not 25 feet from the beach. Across the road is a sand parking lot used by vendors and tour operators and to get through to the water it is a maze of vehicles and boats. The pool was not open during my 20 day stay there and at the end of my stay (at another location) 22 days later they had started working on it. The unit is rustic with doors that overlapped and the main bathroom did not have a lockset. The main area air conditioner would not work even with many requests to repair. The water cooler and dispenser was in pieces in the kitchen for the first ten days. The main bed was not a queen but something smaller on a mismatched frame underneath. The landlord owns three units in the buildings and the other 11 units are owned by another group and construction was going on in all of those units. The noise and dust from that was unbearable. On at least 5 occasions we had no hot water or water at all because of the construction. The main deck however is very nice however there are no handles on the sliders on the outside to open and close same???? I have 92 photos of the property and the unit. With the help of VRBO support I was thankfully able to get out of the arrangement.

GREAT Location!

I spent three weeks in April 2023. The best thing for me was the location. Fifty feet from Bavaro Beach and several beach restaurants/bars. Just a five minute walk to stores, restaurants, casino and groceries. The property is a bit on the older side but with some future improvements it's just fine. The pool was beautiful when attended to. Overall I was satisfied. The best feature by far was the owner Laurina. She truly cares about your stay and your happiness and will immediately try to solve any issues that arise. I recommend for anyone looking for the non AI experience.

It was rundown, the pool was green and out of commission for 29 of the 35 days we were there. We spent many hours waiting on people to come fix things. Toilets towel bars, water machine. I would only stay here again if we had a different unit.

Lovely week in Bavaro

My son (20) and I had a lovely stay in Laurina's condo. It's a third floor unit that catches all of the ocean breezes. The weather was so beautiful that we never had to use the air conditioner. And the large wrap-around, covered balcony is a nice feature. The beach is across the street (which I should add is dead end, so very little traffic). . We would bring the beach chairs down with us and hang out by the Huracon Cafe. That way if we wanted drinks, we could just order from there. We never used the pool as we prefer the beach. The condo is in a nice little neighborhood. It is an easy walk to many restauants, a bakery, and a couple of small grocery stores. We intended to cook more, but found that we would make breakfast and lunch at home and go out for dinner. We did not rent a car and did not need one. There is a security guard at the front gate around the clock. The only con, as mentioned in the previous reviews, was the music coming from the restaurant behind the unit. Laurina was quick to refund the security deposit and electricity deposit. And she is very quick at answering communications.

We are a retired couple who fell in love with Punta Cana, and after an extensive search found Villa Mare. We immediately decided that this would be where our vacation condo would be. We now have three condos in Villa Mare: 901758, 4350373; 4350298.

Why they chose this property

This is more like a Villa than a large, multi-family apartment building. It has only 14 units. We liked the perfect location across from the beach, the spacious and beautifully landscaped exterior, the generous size of the units, and the convenience to supermarkets, restaurants & shops.

What makes this property unique

Quite, comfortable third-floor condo with a large terrace to relax on. You can cook in the spacious, well equipped kitchen or walk to nearby restaurants. Just 25 feet from the beach, which is across the road. Our able administrator will help you select tours, or you may select a tour company from a list which you will find in our condo, along with restaurant information, golf course information, etc. Our administrator is very friendly and is always willing to help our guests. There are no hidden charges.
