Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My husband, teenage daughter and I had the absolute pleasure of staying for two weeks at the Bicycle Lodge. We were so warmly welcomed and felt at home immediately. The cottage was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and offered everything we needed, including a great little barbecue on the patio. I loved being so close to the vineyards of Constantia and only a short drive from Claremont's great shopping precint (Cavendish Square) and Fish Hoek beach and many other places. Although we spent most of our time sightseeing and catching up with family and friends (we migrated to Australia 10 years ago), it was always wonderful to return to Bicycle Lodge set in pretty gardens. It was comfortable, stylish, warm and inviting. I hope to return soon!

Wish we had found Bicycle Lodge a few years ago

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for us and had everything we wanted for our week in the Cape. Easy drive into the city outside rush hour and only 10 minutes to the False Bay coast. On the Constantia wine route for tastings and good food. Three golf courses within 30 minutes. Sharon and John and Zoe the dog were perfect hosts. All in all a great stay.

Best. Vacation. Ever!

  • 5 of 5

One of the best things about our recent vacation was the cottage. It is in the perfect location to use as home base, yet close to so many wonderful places to visit for day trips. The neighborhood was very quiet and lovely. All the flowers were starting to bloom and waking up to flowers blooming out the window was fantastic (since it was snowing at home!) They have a small place for a car park which worked beautifully. We were able to stretch out and relax when we needed a break. We had everything we needed to make a meal if we didn't feel like eating out. Across the street is a little strip mall with several great restaurants, an ATM, gas station, etc. Zoey was an extra treat to keep us company. We have told all our friends they must visit the Cape Town area. We loved it so much we are already planning our next trip!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Bicycle Lodge during the 3 last weeks of December 2015 was wonderful. After a long and exhausting flight from Vancouver to Cape Town it was nice to step into a place that felt like home. Rooms are spacious with ample closet space in both bedrooms, the Kitchenette was well equipped and there is a good security system. On our first morning we were greeted by Sharon and John's sweet and docile Golden Retriever Zoe (aka the Love sponge), and our 11yr old son was immediately smitten (so were we). The neighbourhood is charming and walking distance from a gas station and quaint strip mall with coffee shop and restaurants; it's also a 5 min drive from the Blue Route Mall where you will find everything you need. Sharon and John were always there when needed and we have already let them know that we plan on coming back! Thank you again for a great place to stay.

Little piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful 24 night stay at Bicycle Lodge during cold winter weather in July and August. The lodge was very well appointed, extremely comfortable and easy to find and Sharon and John were wonderful hosts. We were very fortunate in our choice and would highly recommend this as THE only place to stay. Local restaurants and shopping facilities were excellent as was access to all parts of the Cape and the city.

Zoe the dog was a joy and we could hardly bear to leave her.

Thank you for a most successful stay.
