Northern NH Sanctuary

  • 5 of 5

Our three night stay here was magical. If you want the perfect place to enjoy sleeping by a rejuvenating waterfall, sitting by a fire making s'mores, a short ride for a hike up Mt Washington, exploring antique shops, swimming in the falls, plus all the comforts of home...great bathroom, comfortable beds, roomy kitchen, book a few nights on Crystal Falls Retreat. Our four grandchildren from Alabama absolutely LOVED this place and their experience will forever become a part of their childhood memories.

Don and Diane cannot do enough to make you feel at home and responded to a small issue with the plumbing ASAP, immediately. Would return here again in a heartbeat!

Thank you both, Kim & Otis

Owner's Response: Thanks Steve. I know you were disappointed about swimming in the Falls. The current is very strong after a rain storm. We have hardware on order for that casement window in the bedroom. Not sure why you couldnt open other windows though. I`ve been wanting hubby to install a screen door on the brook side. . maybe this comment will get him on that ! Thanks again for your stay.

Perfect place to relax after a day of adventures. Absolutely stunning view off the deck. Home was roomy and the laundry availability was a huge plus.

Don't be fooled by any lack of curb appeal. Beautiful, spacious scenic rental.

  • 5 of 5

As someone else stated in their review, the photos are deceiving. This rental is far more beautiful and spacious than the photos would lead you to believe. The open floor plan from kitchen to living room gives plenty of space for large groups to socialize without feeling the least bit cramped.

Having 6 guys riding quads all day on this trip made the 1 bathroom a concern for us before booking but I can assure you even with the washer running and doing dishes that hot water was never an issue.

No AC, No problem. The beautiful bay windows give spectacular views of the falls and provide enough cold air to make you throw on an extra blanket in the middle of the night.

We go up to NH every June and are already planning our next stay here and some of us are thinking of coming back up in the fall with our wives.

The rental is right on the Ride the Wilds trail so park your trailer and no reloading until it's time to go home.

Diane is a wonderful and considerate host who offers a lovely clean rental at a modest price. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Amazing falls

  • 5 of 5

Went up with a few of my friends to go riding on the 4 wheelers. There is tons of room to park the trailers on the other side of the fall. Being that close to the river was awesome. Will be coming back soon!
