About Janice Frank
Jeff and I welcome you to our Family Farm. We have lived here in WNC since 1987 and believe we have found a jewel that will be in all our treasured memories Forever!
Janice Frank purchased this Farmhouse in 1997
Why Janice Frank chose Leicester
This property is one of a kind. After living in Fairview NC and then Candler NC we understood the area and when we drove up to this property we were in awe. This 52 acre farm is a mix of field, pasture and mountain land and is private, quiet, secluded and no one is behind it. The road dead ends on our property and we have very few neighbors, with fields, pasture and mountain land all around.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
When we moved to WNC we had a dream of finding an farm. This home is completely updated with large back porch, front covered porch and upper deck. There is a fish pond and mountain views. There are two barns on the property and a larger pond.

Peaceful and relaxing
We loved this place, and so did our pups. Plenty of space to go walking, the hot tub was amazing, and the little pond has a few frogs and fish which were fun to watch.
Janice is super fast to respond, probably the best I have had on any stay I’ve had
The only 4 I gave was due to the road going up. It isn’t bad, but it is 1 lane. If another car is coming, it is very difficult to back up or go around as there are embankments on both sides for the most part.
However, that should not keep you away from this amazing house
If we ever plan on staying up here again, we will be checking the availability here first
My wife, children, and myself loved this property! It had everything we wanted and so much more! Room for our big dogs to roam? Check! Hot tub for relaxing? Check! Open space for kids to play outside! Check! We especially enjoyed the daily hikes on the trails after the dinners we cooked on the grill outside. I had a hard time saying goodbye to the master suite upstairs this morning. This place is one we will always cherish! We loved it so much we held our small wedding in front of the pond in the back yard! We look forward to next years vacation!
The property is in the middle of the mountains! It is secluded, but at the same time not too far from anything. We roasted marshmallows, ate outside on the porch, listened to the frogs in the pond, watched the fireflies, we thought about getting in the hot tub, but never did :) Ironically that was one of the reasons we chose this location! We would love to go back, it was heaven!
peaceful escape from the city
We enjoyed our 3-night stay. The location is about 15-20 minutes away from Asheville in the countryside. Very quiet and peaceful. House was clean, the kitchen had new, modern appliances and the hot was fantastic. Interior staircase to the second story is very steep and may not be ideal for people prone to falls or with limited mobility. Be sure to stop in town to pick up groceries and other necessities as there are limited stores in the area. The road leading to the property is a narrow one lane gravel road that can be difficult to drive up with a low clearance vehicle. We would stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home.
Great weekend in Ashville
The farm house was perfect for my wife and our two friends for the weekend, although it could accommodate 3 couples comfortably. Great porch with a grill to enjoy the outdoors. Jacuzzi was nice, especially in the mornings. Had a firepit with plenty of wood cut and stacked. Lots and lots and lots of room for our dogs to run wild and have fun. About 25 minutes from Asheville, with plenty to see and do. Zero defects, a perfect weekend!
A little slice of heaven
Beautiful property. The cute farmhouse was very clean and homey. Everything was provided - ample pillows, blankets, towels, toilet paper. Appliances worked well. We didn’t spend much time inside except to sleep because we loved the backyard. The frogs in the pond, the trickling water, and birds were music to our ears. We enjoyed the many Adirondack chairs, hot tub, grill, and bonfire. It really was a quiet sanctuary where one could relax and decompress. There’s hiking close by and we brought our 2 Golden’s who loved running around, exploring, and lying on the soft bed of grass in the sun. We’d go again in a heartbeat.
