About this property

This little piece of serenity is located on a small wooded mountain top. Totally private and secluded. New carpet, fully furnished, we have added a TV with a Blue Ray Player NO CABLE /NO INTERNET, you can bring your own movies, you can enjoy the beautiful mountain music from Mt. Airy on the radio and go back in time. This is a simple cabin, just to come up relax and read on the deck and let the kids run and play. Back to basics. Small eat-in kitchen. Very cozy, romantic little place. We are making up grades as we can. We have a new tin roof, new propane system and we just add new floors in the kitchen, hallway and down stairs bathroom. At the cabin we must keep all doors and windows closed when not occupied because it is secluded and people or critters might like to just come in. Peaceful!

This was my second visit! My two cats and I stayed here. We spent our time outside doing a lot of reading and making art. The cabin was super peaceful, and clean! I also took the time to go explore the local towns, and enjoyed hikes. Overall it was a great time!

What a lovely way to usher in the New Year. Dinorah provided a clean and cozy home away from home on a gorgeous mountain top overlooking a hillside and cow pasture. What more could we ask for. It’s a hidden gem! Thank you!!

Secluded

I loved that the cabin was secluded, in the woods, no Wi-Fi, and cell service was spotty. Sometimes you just need to get away from entertainment and electronics. The house was an old style house with paneling but still had a few updates. Would have been nice to have had a wood stove where it looks like one used to be instead of a gas wall heater but the baseboard heat did fine. The only problem I had was the upstairs heat didn’t work and my girls got a little chilly. The owner was quick to have someone come check it out but was unable to fix. The place had all we needed in the kitchen along with towels and toiletries. The view at the bottom of the drive over the Christmas tree field was gorgeous along with the white tail deer eating in the field. We had a pleasant stay.

Cabin getaway

We rented this beautiful cabin getaway for to stay while I visited for my high school reunion. Best choice we could have ever made! We had a great time watching the wildlife that came onto the property, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We will definitely be visiting again!

A quiet wilderness get away

The host is great and is quick to respond the property is clean and well taken care of. Can be dark at night so bring a flashlight or two.

This cabin was purchased for a place to come and enjoy the mountain life and cool weather in summer time. It was perfect for a few years but my father has gotten older and sadly can not make the trip any longer. So my brother and I decided to rent the cabin to help with cost of taxes, insurance and maintenance. This cabin has lots of wonderful memories for us and we continue to stay when life permits us too. For our family it has always been a place to get away from electronics and just get back to the simple things of life. Walks, music, reading, what ever suits us at the time. Food always seemed to taste better up there on the balcony with the refreshing mountain air. We are always taking lots of deep breaths...
