About Kathy Bork
We came to the Big Bend from Austin in 2002, never expecting any visitors from our past. But we had so many visitors that we built a guest house for family, old friends, and new friends.
Kathy Bork purchased this House in 2012
Why Kathy Bork chose Alpine
From The Little Tin Guest House it's an easy walk to the golf course, the city park and pool, the grocery store, and restaurants. And it's walking weather in Alpine almost any time of year.
What makes this House unique

Exactly what I needed!
Just a few blocks from the University, my son was able to stop by whenever time allowed to eat a home cooked meal, an easy feat with a fully stocked (pans / utensils) kitchen. We even enjoyed grilled fajitas outside in the patio after his scrimmage. Neat little compact home away from home. Will definitely stay there again!
Great place for a family to stay long term. You can cook at your leisure. Close to everything that you need. Not lacking anything.
Alpine Tin House
The house was just perfect for what we needed. It was hidden off of the road and very comfortable. Would definitely rent again if / when we return to Alpine.
Really cozy spot
My family and I were very impressed by this house. It is very well maintained, and plenty comfortable for a family of 5. Highly recommend!
Perfect home and location!
We booked this home when we went to register our daughter at Sul Ross. The location was perfect, just a quick drive up the street. The home was well supplied although we weren’t there enough to take advantage of all it offers. We plan to book this same home each time we visit our daughter at college.
Do yourself a favor...STAY HERE! The place itself is secluded and off the beaten path, but in a neighborhood. Very clean, well maintained, and beds slept great! Kathy was quick to answer any/all questions we had, and made for a great experience! Almost centrally located to pretty much anything you want to do in west Texas. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank Kathy!!!
