About Tim Rodgers
Riverside Retreat was built in 2005 and was our residence until 2012. We are making it available for others to enjoy. It sits on a bluff directly on the Mountain Fork River which is a very quiet river with beautiful rock formations on the property. We now live back in Mena to be closer to family.
Tim Rodgers purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Tim Rodgers chose Hatfield
It is such a peaceful, relaxing place to be. You'll feel it as soon as you turn off the highway and begin the path down the tree-lined county road. At the top of our driveway, there is a view of Rich Mountain. On a clear night, you can see the lights of the lodge. At the bottom of the driveway awaits your peaceful getaway - surrounded by trees and overlooking a gorgeous section of the Mountain Fork River. On the back deck, you are among the treetops that rise from the bluff. The cabin was built to provide amenities for a romantic couples getaway or honeymoon but will sleep a family of four.
What makes this Cabin unique

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway. The cabin is beautiful and the view from the deck is amazing. We enjoyed floating on the river in the canoe. It really is the perfect place to come and unwind. We will definitely be back.
Great time! Cabin was well stocked and very clean. Will definitely go back. Had a question about something when we arrived and the owner responded quickly. No complaints at all. Very secluded and well worth the drive!
The property and cabin were amazing to get away for a while. With no worries and nature surrounding you, you're sure to lose track of time. We had an amazing time here amd would like to thank Mr Tim for his great hospitality.
Great cabin to get away from it all!
Beautiful property and truly remote location. If you are looking for the place to relax and unwind this is it. Great fishing, canoeing and a charming cabin. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Our teenagers loved the fire pit and exploring the grounds on foot. Fabulous cabin, we'll be back!
Little slice of heaven in the woods
Gorgeous location right on the river. Spent both days canoeing up and down the river. Not much fishing to be done as it was the middle of the hot summer but plenty of turtles and the occasional deer to keep you company.
Would definitely stay again
