Overview

About the property

One room studio Apartment, 35 Sq Mt, like a hotel room

The apartment is nicely furnished, is like an hotel room but with the taste of an old Roman room. Wooden ceiling painted white. The apartment is at the first floor and has no view. The three windows with curtains looks in a courtyard. But for this reason is quiet. A little kitchen with all you need for cooking and for breakfast. Satellite TV and air conditioning, WI-FI is provided. Nice restaurants all around!

Perfect location

  • 4 of 5

Cosy & functional place. The bed was nice and large. The A/C unit worked. Well cleaned and taken care of. I'd stay there again if back in Rome. You can come back around 4pm and get a rest and head back out for a walk and dinner. Can't beat that!

The location is really the best you can hope for and the right price. Short walk to the Vatican, Piazza Nuvano-Pantheon-Trevi-Spanish Steps, Campo, Trastevere and the Forum/Colosseum area. We did Rick Steve's central Rome walk every day to Trevi just for fun after siesta time.

Take the owner up on the restaurants he recommends. Its about the same as Rick Steve's. Most of the places where the waiters are stalking you are worthless. Campo is nicer than it appears & you will find better food and drinks there than near Piazza Navona or Pantheon. Once your there you'll learn to walk a block off the main areas to find nicer places to eat at.

Busses #64/#40 can get you to the forum. Don't bother looking for #116 to Borghese, it no longer runs. I am sure there is a replacement. A taxi from here to Borghese was 13eu, forum was 9. Taxis are cheap to/from this place. You can get one at PAM grocery, a block away. See google.

Get a Roma Pass for 72 hours of 2 free museums and 30% discounts on the rest, and you get free buses, plus some places where letting us in for free even tho we already used our two free passes. Then do the Vatican. Honestly I thought the Vatican was a let down from the rest of the stuff. Sistine Chapel was ok. Its crazy madhouse of heat and crowds for a worn out painting. Disney lines, pushing, heat, hordes shoving. Just walking into empty churches and seeing Baroque designs and all of the marble was far more cool. Those are free. If you see a church, go in, sit down. Much nicer than Sistine. You can rest in the AC and get an amazing view for free & feel the history.

You won't regret staying here so close the action.

The apartment was exactly as described, small but well equipped with everything we needed.

It was an excellent base from which to explore Rome, within easy walking distance of all the famous sights and with restaurants, cafes and food shops only a minute or two away. Edoardo was a very good communicator and we were met at the door and shown everything we needed to know about. The beds (we had them made up as singles but they could have been one double) were very comfortable, the shower hot and the hob for our morning coffee super fast! My only caveat would be to warn light sleepers that there is some noise from heating units (or air conditioning units?) outside the windows which might cause a problem on warm nights when windows were open, but there is an air con unit in the flat which might deal with that. We were so exhausted from discovering Rome all day that nothing could have kept us awake! A great flat, good value and highly recommended.

What else could you want?

Edoardo's apartment was perfect for me and my boyfriend. I am huge on location and food recommendations - and this apartment had both and more! Edoardo was very accommodating, easy to reach, and friendly. You are right in the center of the city - the Vatican a 10/15 minute walk, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Campor di Fiori, all around the corner. The absolute best part - not only did Edoardo's leave a list of recommended restaurants (such a weight off your shoulders when you don't have to start reading reviews and plan dinner), but the best restaurant on that list, in our opinion at least, is part of the same block as the apartment. The waiters there give you exactly the experience you could hope for dining in Italy - loud, laughs, friendly...perfect al dente pasta..they are just warm people, including Edoardo.

Cozy Italian apartment for two!

  • 5 of 5

This was a last minute booking so I was nervous. I was only able to communicate through email with Eduardo. But things worked out and he was super helpful to me and my daughter. The beds can either be one double or two twins. He had things in the apartment that you don't think about needing until you get there..like detergent, coffee, paper towels..thing like that. It was cozy and safe feeling. The lock on the door is so secure too. We would definitely stay here again. Thank for your hospitality,
