Why Aileen Houston chose Penticton
Duncan and Aileen fell in love with this property because of the proximity to the KVR Trail and because it is walking distance to downtown and to KVR Middle school where daughter Brittany attended school. Plus loved the yard with the 7 fruit trees and the size of the house with it's many windows offering sun all day long. The house is also walking distance to the Penticton Marina where the Houston's sail their Ericson 32 sailboat regularly and the Penticton Tennis Club, where Aileen is a daily tennis player between May and October. Also love that the property is within easy walking distance to many wineries along the Naramata Bench. I could go on and on.......
What makes this Apartment unique
Proximity to wineries ( 25 within 20 minute drive all along the Naramata Bench) Proximity to KVR Trail ( right across the road, off Bankview ) Proximity to downtown ( 800 metre walk) Fantastic yard with lots of fruit trees and blossom trees Sunny suite with lots of windows

Plum Suite for a pleasant stay in Penticton
A generally comfy and pleasant suite for our 3-night stay in Penticton, BC. Furnishings are nice; it has a small, but workable kitchen (no dishwasher); lots of hot water, good air conditioning. The BBQs outside work well. The king-size bed is great; the double bed in the living room is OK, but the foam? mattress on top makes odd noises when you move... that may bother light sleepers (like my daughter). Overall - we would visit again.
We were in town for a convention and didn’t spend much time at the apartment. We were there pretty much to shower, sleep and have coffee in the mornings. We were very comfortable and slept really well in the king bed. It was a nice place.
Quick Winter stay :)
We loved our stay in 'Plum' suite with its easy, gorgeous, clean, SoHo vibe. Such a well-stocked kitchen & bath meant we could get straight to the local stuff. Soooo close to fantastic The Bench Market, plus across the street from the Kettle Valley Railtrails, around the corner from Upper Bench Creamery (read double-cream BRIE!) and all the area's classics. That dusting of snow everywhere made our stay magical. Our endless thanks to these 2 wonderful hosts.
Owners were excellent.
Property was nice and they took care of it. Underground sprinklers hit our window in the mornings and woke us up. Nice that we could leave our dog in the room. Owners suite above us was creaky.Beds we’re comfortable. Lower bench road can be busy at times. Right next to KVR trail and amenities.
We found this bsmt suite met our expectations - a comfortable and quiet stay. Lots of condiments to easily make a meal - bowl of cherries too. Enjoyed using the provided board games on the back yard table.
Aileen and Duncan are gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome at arrival.
The Plum Suite was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing 5 day visit to Penticton. Close to wineries, the KVS trail and quaint downtown stores and eateries. The suite has a complete kitchen and BBQ for eating in as well.
1 kilometre or 10 minute walk to downtown for shopping and restaurants and cinema and breweries; 1 kilometre or 10 minute walk to the marina and lake for all kinds of water sports. Right across the street from the KVR Trail for cycling or walking or running 100's of kilometres into the country with scenic views of Lake Okanagan and the mountains. 1 minute walk to Perseus winery which is the closest winery and continue the scenic 20 minute drive to Naranata where you can visit 20+ wineries. 5 minute stroll to the Bench which is the best place for breakfast and lunch in Penticton. Visit a lovely waterfalls in Naramata at the Creek Park.
