Central 2 bedroom apartment, sleeps 2 to 8, a stone's throw away from EVERYTHING

New apartment and called Gold because of the adopted colour scheme, this apartment offers a myriad of other experiences to please both the romantic and the young at heart. Gold provides excellent views of the seafront where all the major ferry boats moor (harbour/round Malta cruises, and Gozo/Comino/Valletta visits). The open top tourist and route buses' terminus is across the road, as is the seaplane departure point, making sightseeing a trouble-free delight. Restaurants and cafes abound in this locality, creating a pleasurable hub of activity. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment (main with en-suite), boasts a large kitchen/dining room which combines with the lounge area (the 2 sofa beds can sleep a further 2 if required), including gas fireplace, 42' TV and sound system. Adjacent is a 7’ x 4’ snooker table plus a bar for one’s own entertainment. Uniquely created is the ‘retreat area’ where a large Jacuzzi is enticingly situated in a romantically candle-lit alcove.

Spacious Apartment in a great location.

Our stay at Gold Apartments was an enjoyable time. The pick up at the airport by Paul's son was very welcome after a very long journey. Our hosts were great and easy to contact when we found the toaster was broken, it was replaced very quickly.

The walls of the apartment could have done with a wash or a coat of paint and the lounges where quite worn with the bar pushing into the back of your legs. But otherwise the location is perfect for restaurants, buses, ferries and tours. A large supermarket just up the street, and plenty of shopping if you feel like that as well. Paul also drove us back to the airport at the end of our holiday at a small cost, which saved us worrying about organising this.

Excellent location right on the sea front

The owners son picked us up from the airport and brought us to the apartment even though it was very late at night. He gave us a welcome pack including Maltese bread, cheese, ham and a bottle of sparkling wine. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. The view from the balcony and especially the roof terrace is spectacular.

The location could not be any better with shops and restaurants on your doorstep. The buses and ferry tours are only across the road for exploring the island.

The owners were wonderful hosts and even picked us up to go to another apartment.

Christmas time in Sliema

The apartment was just fine for the 8 of us, aged 13 to 63: 2 bedrooms (= 4 pers.) + 2 coaches (= 4 pers.) + 2 bathrooms. The location was perfect: right in the city center (so don´t expect the quietness of the countryside!), close to restaurants, the mall, the ferry to Valetta, bus stop, etc... We did not feel too closely spaced in the apartment since while some of us were cooking, others took a shower, played billiard, smoked on the balcony or roof top (by the way, very nice view over Valetta from there). It has also been very nice being picked up from the airport! Thanks to Paul and Josanne for the very friendly contact! We´ll keep very good memories of this stay!

New years 2013

We spent the day of the year in this apartment and it is very well. Ideally located close to all amenities and close to Valletta via the bus stops and the boat are less than 100 meters. we had a very good stay. the apprtement is very good and the owners are very welcoming. Ideal for exploring Malta

Sliema and the coastline up to neighbouring St Julian's constitutes Malta's main coastal resort. A centre for shopping, restaurants and caf'e life. Sliema is also a major commercial and residential area and houses several of Malta's most recent hotels. Sliema, which means `peace', was once a quiet fishing town on the peninsula across Grand Harbour from Valletta. The Sliema promontory offers on one side stunning views across to Valletta and on the other, open sea views. The promenade, which runs for several kilometres from Gzira just south of Sliema to St Julian's, is ideal for walking, jogging or just relaxation. There are plenty of seats along the promenade, which is also dotted with little bistros, restaurants, cafes, ice-cream parlours and the like. On summer evenings the seafront becomes a sociable meeting place for locals and tourists alike. The coastline has two tower fortifications: a watch tower built in the 17th century; the other was built by the British in the 1880's.

We normally request approximately 30% deposit for confirmation of the booking. The remaining balance for rent, plus the damage guarantee deposit, only need to be paid upon your arrival at the apartment, not before.

The damage deposit is also returned to you on your day of departure following an inspection of the premises.

  • The en suite bathroom (with the main bedroom) also contains a washing machine and separate tumble drier, located in one corner. A large shower unit, sink and toilet complete this bathroom. A sweet and smaller bathroom contains a shower cubicle, sink and toilet. The 1.75 diameter round free standing jacuzzi is an icon and located in a specifically constructed alcove for both the romantic and young at heart. A candle chandalier hangs just above this (candle holders are also located on the walls) to accentuate the romantic feeling that this area exudes. A gas fireplace is located just facing this area. For the young at heart this jacuzzi spa is adorned with soft blue light around its outside circumference, taking you to luxuries beyond 5-star accommodation. Families may also find it ideal for their children as a day tub in what can be otherwise termed as a small splash pool for the youngsters. Practically a multi-facility installation for whatever your hearts and moods desire.
